Well I've been replaying Origins lately, and began to reading codecs about Tevinter and the Anderfels. Personally I'd like to see Tevinter because its the flip side of Kirkwall, but I'd really interested in, instead of the game taking place in a specific country. We travel across Thedas. Or we have origin stories that start off in different country but circustances lead them to the main game location. I.E. a tevinter slave escaping to Orlais.

But I'd really be interested in what you guys thinks:D

I'd imagine it will be Orlais but I'd like to see Tevinter

Im guessing it will take place in Orlais based off hints from the other 2 games, though thats what I thought after DAO and bioware threw a curveball with the Free Marches so who knows? Personally I would really like to see either Tevinter or Seheron/Par Vollen because both these cultures are described as being so different and in many ways opposite of the nations we've already played through. Plus the farther north the setting, the more likely we'll finally get to play as Qunari.

I also think that DA3 will take place in Orlais because in the two later games orlais is usually mentioned and in DA2 king alistair says that a war is soon coming between orlais and ferelden. the tevinter imperium will also be a place to go and i hope that it will be a point that your main character ( Please let it be DAO character ) will create a slave uprising, fenris says in DA2 that the tevinter imperium is build on the backs off slaves. then you will return to places such as kirkwall, orzammar and denerim.

I'm going to assume Orlais is the set-up for DA3, but since this topic is what I would LIKE to see.... I'll venture a guess that Starkhaven will be a destination at some point, especially after some of the results that can happen with Sebastian. It'd be interesting to go to Par Vollen or Seheron. Or to Rivain (pirates, for the win). Or to some ruins of Arlathan and maybe finally get some more information on the Eluvian.

I'd like everything from DA:2 to go, i'd like to see everything from DA:O return, plus a new epic story, possibly involving a war , quinari as an extra race from elves, dwarves and humans and several classes etc.

Dreams...

I agree with DinoSteve and furryrage59, except about the Qunari part unless the game wasn't in Tevinter ... be hard to play a Qunari PC in Tevinter methinks. However, if the game wasn't set in Tevinter then would love to be able to roll a Qunari.

Oh and I want to see more expansive level design. I don't care if they have the chops to do an open world and a tight narrative (although they should) but I would totally settle for some relatively large maps, like Borderlands sized zones or something.

I want to see buildings that are not all connected to ech other like the entire city is made up of four massive apartment buildings. I want to see some real architecture not right angles and facades. I want LOCATIONS not SETS.

I don't want waves unless it is a story appropriate moment for reinforcements. Under no circumstance should it rain men or drop dogs out of the sky.

Templars need to stop doing backflips in full pate armor.

NPC's need to stop being made of wood and react to the PC and other NPC's. If there is a fight breaking out and I'm launching fireballs I damn well expect to see NPC's run for their safety. If Templars see me launch fireballs I damn well expect them to do something about it. THE ORDER DICTATES IT DOESN'T LACTATE.

Given BW's inexplicably weak commitment to timely, and properly tested, bugfixes, and the embarassing precedent of reused environments in DA2, I've decided to abandon the Dragon Age product line. After 2 games and 10 DLCs, I'm tired of their misaligned priorities.

If DA3 manages to take the rewritten combat engine of DA2 and incorporate some long overdue ADVENTURING and REAL ROLEPLAYING, then I'll be pleasantly surprised and happy to return to the fold .. but in the meantime, I'm considering jumping ship for Elder Scrolls IV (as a warmup to Elder Scrolls V, which comes out in november).

The Qunari were the best part of DA2. If Act 3 had ended up in an all out war between the Qunari and the Free Marches, i'd have been a happy camper and dying for DA3.

Ooh, me too.  I'd like to eventually head to Seheron, seems like the site of a lot of conflict (between Tevinter, the various freedom fighters, and the Qunari).  I'm not so sure the next game will actually be IN Orlais.  We'll see.

Erm, while it's possible, I seriously doubt anyone outside Bioware has any idea on this information, so I wouldn't take something you might have read as definitive.

Yes ... a potentially interesting race that BW failed to deliver an adequate roleplaying experience with/for. An unavoidable conflict on too-tight rails, and no opportunity to really interact with, learn, and befriend, the Qunari, was disappointing.

Sten in DAO was mildly interesting, but there there was very little depth or substance to him, even if you dug as deeply as the game allowed.  Talking to Sten was like sucking air at the bottom of an empty milkshake ... not a lot there.

Hopefully we'll eventually see Par Vollen given the same screentime in some future version of DAx as Oz got in DAO ... but until then, my expectations for this product line are rather gimped at the moment.

Dream setting for DA3: explore Tevinter and Antiva.

More likely: a cave in Orlais.

As long as it's set in more than one city I don't care where it is. But I would thoroughly enjoy checking out Tevinter.

I'd like to see the Anderfels or Tevinter. But as long as we get out of the Free Marches, I'm happy.
I also always loved the description of an icy, vastly unexplored wasteland beyond the Kocari Wilds. I wouldn't want a whole game set there, but I would love to see it.

I just ordered ES4 (as a warmup to ES5), so I've officially voted with my wallet and thumbed my nose at the latest DA2 DLC, and DA3 along with it.

Whether or not I return for DA3 will depend entirely on whether or not BW shows any sign of progress on the bugfixing front, and whether or not they eschew reused environments and show some improvements in ROLE PLAYING.  I'll keep hoping, but I've obviously stopped holding my breath.

And on that note, my copies of DAO/DAA (3 playthoughs completed), and DA2 (3 playthoughs completed) are hereby consigned to my pile of completed and probably never to be played again games.

p.s. I'm going to pass on my missing supplier trophy (and plat along with it) in DA2... there's no way I'm going to burn 60+ hours of my time on a 4th playthough, just to get one last poorly designed missable trophy that may not even unlock properly.

I really, really, really was disappointed with the combat of DA 2, and playing as a fixed human character was not much fun for me either. It just severely limits replay value, along with tossing out the concept of multiple origins to begin the game with and potentially flavor the rest of the game. Bioware is going to have to fix alot of things for DA 3 to be a purchase. I'm not asking for DA:O, that game is alot of fun but it had areas I would change too. DA 2 just seemed like a lovenote from the game creators to themselves witht he framed narrative. I didn't find Hawke interesting and that was the only character I could play as. I just hope they spend time on DA 3, make it a quality product and do something original, for the players. Like ISI-Society, I am voting with my wallet till Bioware makes something I like. I'll likely be enjoying Skyrim and might check out The Witcher 2 or the new Deus Ex game, if it has some nice Roleplaying elements in it. I am still looking forward to ME 3 next year.

I personally would like to see Tevinter. The Imperium may be a shadow of its former gory but Tevinter laid the foundation of modern Thedas. Its culture also is vastly differet than those under the White Divine's Chantry. If were in Tevinter it would also be cool to see the contested island of Seheron and the Qunari home islands of Par Vollen.

In the end I am fine with just about anywhere but Orlais. I would not be able to handle several dozen hours of bad french accents (Hoo eez dis man Teagan?). I know Orlais is one of the most powerful nations in Thedas (along with Nevarra), but please no frenchies*.

*No offense to real Frenchmen/woman

Ryllen - I agree with a lot of what you said, except for one item ... one of the things I give DA2 some props for is it's new from the ground up combat system code. I'm sure a lot of people may only have noticed indirectly, but the battles run a lot more smoothly, and with a lot less laggage, thanks to the new core. Yes, part of me misses the highly visible special effects from buff spells in DAO, but they contributed heavily to laggage, and sometimes even made it hard to see (arcane warrior anyone ?).

As for the ME line, I haven't decided yet ... I may consider it after I've had my fill of Elder Scrolls, depending on the state of bugfixes and their level of responsiveness to cogent customer feedback. If it's clear they're not caring when next I'm shopping, then I probably won't either and I'll continue looking elsewhere.

Agreed on all counts. ;)

Tevinter would probably be less of a stretch for their writing staff than Par Vollen would.

Anywhere other than Fereldan or Orlais.

I expect to see both in DA3.

Specifically for me, Antiva and Rivain.

Rivain would be interesring but ai woudln't want to spend a large part of the game there.
