I'm not into sadism so highly doubtful that I will buy it only to endure more torture in the DA2 title by extending it with DLC. Especially given Biowares current trend of bad DLC with poor content and storylines.

Be carefull if you try to go down that route I will start listing all the crappy item packs, exiled prince, witch hunt, feastday packs, appearance packs, arrival, normandy crash site and so on and on.

Because compounding a your failed "poor content" comment by listing other good DLC is going to somehow make your initial point valid.
Are you familiar with the definition of insanity?

Repeating the same thing over and over expecting different results yes I am very well aware of it. I also know that the ones I listed are regarded by most of the people on here as bad DLC your exception to this doesn't make it less true, it just makes you a special little boy with different standards to a large amount of others.
The one thing they have going for them with regard to legacy is they have listened slightly to the criticism about the wave system for every single encounter and are trying to add a more tactical approach however the video of gameplay does not show enough to tell if they have made enough progress in that regard for time being. What also becomes very clear in that video alone is how bland the enviroment looks both structures and colour scheme. While it's somewhere new not cave #03 again etc as example, it does leave the bitter feeling of a pre-beta level design.
The customisation of a weapon with no or none that could see visual difference and still strayed away from actual character customisation limited to weapons again doesnt fill me with glee.
I will wait to see what they plan to do with the ME series after ME3 and maybe once done with expansions to see if they do indeed switch genres or try to drain as much money as can from ME3 alone for years to come with nickle and dime item packs etc.
Whether they end up releasing DA3 which mimics DA2 in direction and poor choices or whether they manage to salvage some reputation regarding the franchise instead of continual decline in sales due to design choices. Whether ToR will actually be succesfull or not which could break the camels back if not due to the truly vast amounts of investment pumped into it. Lastly whether they can conjure up a new IP to replace ME series once ME3 and expansions are done with.
What I'm stating as my opinion is it doesn't look great at the moment for Bioware, but time will tell taking into account further influence from EA and it's giving in to Microsoft for Kinect gimmicks.

That's right, you're all going to take the bullet for me.
Pretty much how I feel, and that's a new thing for me, because I pre-ordered everything for DA:O dlcs plus Awakening...played day one Nov , 2009.
First time I have ever hesitated on a Bioware product. I'll be waiting on the reviews too.

I'll get the DLC at some point, I'm in no rush. Been so busy with work lately I'm hardpressed to keep up with all the games I play.

If I was the last man on earth, and Legacy was the last DLC on earth, and all other sources of entertainment had been destroyed in an earthquake, and 50 hours from now a meteor was going to destroy earth....
I would spend my last fifty hours holding my copy of DA2 in front of me as the meteor fell, just to make sure I saw it die before the meteor crushed me.
buying DLC for DA2 is like ordering the Special Edition Blue Ray of the Star Wars Prequels.

Some people don't like to be as negative as you. Anyway LoTSB is proof that bioware can make good DLC

Yes, I'll buy it as soon as it becomes available. Unfortunately, I doubt I'll be able to play immediately as that's the same day that Butcher's "Ghost Story" comes out. I'll be haunting my front windows, waiting for the UPS guy.
I'm sorry, BioWare. I feel I'm letting you down, not playing it as soon as I get it, but I've been waiting for the resolution to this cliffhanger for a year and a half, now.
I love cliffhangers, which is probably why I loved DAII so much. People who want every little plot point wrapped up in a tidy little bow annoy me. Where's the mystery? Where's the fun? I'm always up for loose ends that engage the imagination.
Oh crap, Ghost Story comes out then?
Well, now I know what I'll be spending my day doingI think I've suddenly become ill with some sort of time-delay sickness.
Aye I've literally had both on my calendar. I'll confess I'm with SKR on this one. A new Dresden novel supercedes nearly everything.
I was wondering if anyone would realize GS comes out that day... However, I will not be reading the new Dresden Novel, as I promised my husband first read (yes I really do love my husband) so for me it'll be Legacy downloads for PC and 360 along with reading the Book of Three to my daughters... I'm such a sap.

It looks interesting enough, and I certainly hope it's entertaining for those that purchase it, but it's a DLC I'll be passing on. I'd feel like an absolute hypocrite for voicing my disappointment in DA2 and then turning around and spending more money on it.
Lucky for you there's this neat little thing called "free choice", indeed another called "changing one's mind"...even this crazy one called "taking a chance".
But really, if you feel so strongly about not buying DLC because you were disappointed with the original, then good luck to you!
By the way, just between you and me, BioWare is actually trying to improve things for their fans with some good DLCs, some of which are reported to even address some of our concerns. Would be a shame for you to miss out on that, don't you think?
I'd be overjoyed if they are indeed addressing a lot of the concerns people had with DA2, but only for the sake of future titles in the series. I really don't feel as though I'll be missing out on anything in not purchasing the DLC, since I didn't find DA2's characters or story all that interesting to begin with. Of course that's just one person's opinion, like I said I certainly hope those that do buy it end up enjoying it.
