Probably not. If they release an actual expansion that covers act 4 I might.

Anyway LoTSB is proof that bioware can make good DLC

And this is what gives me hope.  Most of the DA:O DLC material was mediocre at best, (though I did really enjoy Leliana's Song ... anything with more Leliana is win) but so was the ME 1 DLC, the company has shown that it can produce better DLC and is learning what people want in it, so I have hopes for Legacy.

That said, I really enjoyed DA2 and anything that can extend my DA2 experience is going to be an instant purchase. (now, if it turns out bad, I will be slower to buy the next DLC, but I am willing to give it the benefit of the doubt)

Yes we will be buying Legacy.

DA2 does have some problems, but it also has good points. We hope that Legacy helps to redeem some of that.

Or the exception that confirms the rule.

Not sure the question should be "Can Bioware make good DLC?". That answer, as a whole, seems mixed. I think the question should be narrowed down to "Can Bioware make good Dragon Age DLC?". I don't think they can, I distinctly recall being able to tolerate 2 of them from the first game (I don't count Shale as DLC and neither should you, look up why that was even a DLC for the answer).

Other than that they were pretty bad, reused alot of content even if it meant bending/breaking plot in order to do it (Leliana's song). Not saying they were unplayable, they did exist in the confines of DA:O which in and of itself is a selling point. Just didn't measure up. Now we are looking at DLC for a game that many people feel is a failure. Given the trend of reusing content and blatantly false advertising (Witch Hunt) I'll pass on this one. If they can't seem to do DLC right for a good game I'm not sure how they could pull off doing DLC for a bad game.

Today as I post this (July 14th), DAII released just 4 months and a week ago. Every other Bioware game released with the exception of Sonic, I would easily have still been playing in this span of time from release. I seriously do not care to know how much time I have invested into just DAO, BG, NWN, and ME. It would probably make me sick to know.

DAII on the other hand, I had to force myself to finish it. I have absolutely no desire whatsoever to even install DAII again. Total playtime for DAII for me I'm sure is well under 50 hours total. Most of which was not enjoyable, it was like just hoping against hope that at some point the game would somehow get better.

With that said, I'm just not excited about this DLC. Please hear this Bioware (like my opinion matters? who am I kidding), this is the first thing that you have released that I have no desire or intention to purchase, excluding Sonic.

I bought the DA2 signature edition and is the only bioware game i believe i paid way more than it was worth it. I managed to finish the game a total of 2 times, and after finishing it i realised how much i had to force myself to just end the game. To me DA2 is simply not worth the HD space in my PC, and this dlc can´t fix my concerns with the game. Therefore i am not buying and i wish the bioware team would move on to DA3 instead of trying to rescue the ship that has already sunk. I may take another look at the dragon age series for the next game, but this time i will exercise extreme caution and i won´t be as blind to pre-order without knowing beforehand what i am getting. It was a sad thing for me realise, because i truly enjoyed DAO and the universe bioware created, but i refuse to support with my money games like DA2.

^This, hopefully there will be an expansion that is the bridge between DA2 and DA3 (gameplay and storywise), and hawke dies at the end

I will wait a week or so after the DLC comes out, but I will most likely buy the DLC unless almost all reviews are negative. Lair of the Shadowbroker / Overlord / Kasumi rank as some of my favorite DLC ever.

Agreed; I've been stalling in Act 1 simply waiting for the DLC so I don't miss anything. I want to get the maximum enjoyment out of the game.

Really you took nearly 50 hours?

I find that surprising.

I would reckon (checking the Wiki) that I have done 85 to 95 percent of the game in probably about 20 to 30 hours; at the outside. I was "completed" in 2 n a bit days.
Compare that to ME2 that took me 10 days of almost constant playing (I reckon 80 to 100 hours during which I slept maybe 6 hours a night before going back to playing) to complete (100% completion); and  about 3 to 4 weeks of almost constant playing to complete DAO (easily over 200 hours) the first time (again near 100% completion).

It is quite a BIG difference.

I will definitely wait for some reviews before buying this. What I think is funny that I bought Heroes of Might and Magic V full game with both expansions AND Dark Messiah from steam for $4.00. That is days worth of content to enjoy. In comparison Bioware wants $10 for probably 2 or 3 hours of gameplay? Ya I will wait.

I'll definitely be buying Legacy, probably during its release week.

I've had a few problems with DA2 ... mostly the plot in Act 3. But I've had a lot of fun playing it. I've finished 5 playthroughs with 2 more in the works. Storywise, I don't think it's nearly as strong as Origins. But except for the first few Origins dlcs (the ones where we could play our warden along with our companions), I didn't like them at all. Legacy looks promising.

I will definitely purchase Legacy, probably as soon as it becomes available, and play it when I get home from work. The Origins DLCs were fine (I played every one, and enjoyed every one), but this one looks really fantastic. I'm especially excited about getting to keep my companions; my biggest pet peeve from Origins DLC was that every time I went to play one, I had new companions but not enough time to care about them.

Looking forward to it, for sure.

I didn't really enjoy DA2, though I had both expected to and wanted to. I don't want to pre-judge Legacy, and it's a pity that it already has the slippery slope of my DA2 distaste to contend with.

Once bitten, twice shy, as they say. I'll be waiting for reviews from others who felt burned by DA2. If it's good enough (whether in tweaks or story or party interaction or anything else) for me to look past the unsavory wrapping it comes in (DA2), then I'll buy it.
