Nope, too much throwing good money after bad.
Besides I think it would send the wrong message that it is OK to strip content from a game at release or rush a half-arsed piece of crap out and charge extra for content as DLC to suckers who like getting pooch screwed and being told they don't understand innovation or are just plain stupid for feeling done over.
BioWare is heading down the dunny and fast.
i agree with you. why should we get dlc for a game that we do not like?? They should go and redo the story properly and include the new dlcs in the new story then I will gladly cough up another $60 bucks.
Answer me this? What sound thinking human being or corporation upgrades a small beach house right next to an ocean into a skycraper?? Its the same problem bioware is doing. Bioware's fan base clearly stated they did not like how DA2 was rush and how its story was made mediocre. Instead of redoing the story or even adding dlc to greatly alter the choices and ending in the story instead they just put extra stuff that makes no difference to the outcome of the mediocre story. Why should we pay for it?? No I won't be buying the dlc because its not going to change the outcome of the story or the future DA3 if there even will be one in any way.

And second the stage demo wasn't really convincing me, all I saw was more 3m wide corridors with bad background textures.

I'm keeping my hopes low for it.... especially cause I'm not expecting much in the way of depth/history from the new sentient-Architect-like-Darkspawn Corypheus.
But low hopes always allow for pleasant surprise.
And I recognize how this story-line dlc seems to be released in response to the backlash from the unpolished/unfinished base game and the first dlc being.... an item pack.... So it's only nice to give them a second chance.

Have rediscovered Total War 2, Privateer, Anno 1404 and picked up Assassins Creed Brotherhood on the cheap and slowly making my way casually through Fable 3. All of them are providing far too much enjoyment for the time being. By the time I've got those out of my system, Deus Ex 3 will be upon us.

Just wait until you become King/Queen. All pretence that game makes of being decent goes out the window then.

Im waiting for a pacth that will fix the import process from origins-witch hunt into dragon age 2. If these issues are fixed then i'll buy it the day it comes out. But only after I recomplete awakening-Amgirak-Witch hunt.

So, no. I AM looking forward to DA3 tho. If they base it on DA2 I will for the first time NOT buy the game. Usually I put blind faith in Bioware's games, but DA2 was kinda shocking to me. If they give it time and really put work into the game, I'll probably buy it.

Maybe a few good DLC's and an amazing expansion(s) will turn DA 2 from being decent/mediocre to good.

i´m still in shock after pushing the button called uninstall, and saw something "AWESOME" happened, so no i wont ^^
WOW... hilarious
I think I would like to replay DA as a whole again... sometime in the future... but to be honest... it is the last franchise on my list to recieve another playthrough... First (of course) Mass Effect, than Witcher (after patch 1.3)... or maybe Elder Scrolls (need to try this one).... and most definetly Deus EX!
Considering that DA2 was nice... but rather dissappointing... the reviews would have to be like 110% positive for me to get this early! Naaa... probably I will wait untill AFTER ME3!
So to get my answer to a conclusion: Yes... but not in the next 6 months... rather replay Witch Hunt...

I was going to wait until I saw user reviews - but now I'm going to pass.

Interesting you mentioned Assassins Creed. A friend of mine (who loves rpgs, but figured he'd try something new) wanted to play a game while waiting for ME3. So he gave Assassin's Creed a shot. He called me just yesterday to say that, while okay, it just doesn't have the story and character found in Dragon Age 2. He also played a popular shooter that I have forgotten the name of and was disappointed in that. He finally came to the conclusion that nothing he plays seems to have the depth or emotion found in Bioware games.
It furthered a theory I have. There are two types of people who play RPGs. People who enjoy creating characters and going through a great story and those who just like to kill things with weapons and are obsessed with gameplay.
I, like my friend, am in the former. Regardless of its flaws, I was invested in Dragon Age 2. I haven't played a Bioware game yet where I'm not totally immersed in the character, setting and story. And this isn't a shooter vs. rpg argument. I think there are a lot of rpg fans obsessed with gameplay over story and character. Whether that's good or bad is not for me to decide. But I think it points to the schism that has occured with the Bioware fanbase and how Bioware now looks at creating games. Combat is fun, yes, but I want character and story. Combat gets me from point A to point B. Origins' combat was dull, but it didn't matter, because I was completely immersed and wanted to see the story play out. Same for DA 2.
And I haven't played Fable 3, but I did play Fable 2 while waiting for DA 2 to come out. I had heard it was a great RPG with character and story and choices. I played it, beat it, but I was left feeling rather indifferent. The story was weak and the followers bland and non interactive. It has a nice look to it, but that's cosmetics. I don't care about cosmetics. I want immersion, and say whatever you want about Bioware, they achieve that every time.
Looking forward to playing Legacy in a week. It's not until you start playing other games that are so very mediocre that you realize even a flawed Dragon Age blows most other games out of the water. Or at least that's the consensus of my friends and I.
