I have to admit, I've been playing more DA2 since I reinstalled after the 1.03 patch, and while it still has all of the problems I complained about originally, it's still playable, and enjoyable, if you don't think too hard about the way Act 3 plays out. Legacy is tempting just because of the new party member dialogues, and I'm curious about the plot. I will wait and see, though, fan reaction will factor heavily into my final decision.

I am obligated to mention, though, that if there's at least one puzzle in Legacy, I will go buy some Bioware Points for it right now. On principle.

You really love the puzzles, don't you? :D

I've seen you mention it before, and I completely agree. I was a big sucker for those back in the day, and loved the puzzle-adventure games like Myst, Riven, Syberia, etc. There's got to be a way to integrate some of that stuff into the DA franchise, just to make you and me happy, right?

I'll wait for reviews, and even then I'll probably only buy when it's much cheaper. I won't make the same mistake again.

Yes!  I only wish more people cared about puzzles in Bioware RPGs the way they do romances.  But I'm okay with being the crazy puzzle-in-RPGs fan.

^ You are not the only one, I for one love puzzles if they are actually well done, I want to never again see those Ultima VII (if I remember correctly) "puzzles" that consisted of you putting things on pedestals. You find a pedestal and you put things on them, or you find things and then search for a pedestal to put them into.

I really liked the Fade in DA:O.

I have to say.. while I loathe DA2... I could consider buying the DLC if there was some decent puzzles in it... but I have this feeling that if there is, they will be like: "do something with the keyblade and things explode".

No, i loved DA:O (and yes, most of its DLC was crap), but every time i think of or see a DA2 video clip with all the flashy-flashy combat i get a gut feeling of utter dissapointment...

And seeing this quote: “For sure there are certain people who probably wanted Origins 2 with Dragon Age 2; we did not go in that direction. This DLC is not going to solve that for them.” on vg247.com makes this a no-go for me.

DA3 better be pretty damn good...

I'll be buying it.

I saw the 5 minute video of a dev playing it (I think) and it looked pretty sound.
Pretty eager to learn more about the Chantry/Darkspawn/Grey Warden lore thats supposed to be in this DLC. Hawke history too, I guess.

The only question for me though, is if I buy it now, or wait a year or so and get the "Dragon Age 2 Ultimate Edition", pay around $50 for the game and all its DLC... like they eventually did for DA:O. >_>

Doubtful, if I buy DLC it's because it's on steam, get it up on steam and sure I'll buy it, I'm like that with most games now, if it's on steam then I'll buy it, if it's not...no thanks, Discs get lost, scratched, warped, whatever, they break and I lose a game I've paid money for so if it's not on steam you can't have my money.

I know DLC doesn't come on disc but I still prefer everything neat and tidy on steam.

No, The direction DA2 has taken doesn't appeal to me.

Hell no.

I am not paying them more money.
I still have not gotten my money's worth in the first game. (I wish i could trade in a DD PC version)

I'll buy it at some point, but I'm not gonna buy it immediately. Like for Lair of the Shadow Broker, I had my points ready to go and I got the minute it became available. But Legacy...eh...I could wait.

I feel like I'm one of the rare people who genuinely enjoy DA2, so yes, I will buy Legacy the day it comes out.

That's right, I'll be first to eat the bullet for you ;)

And I'll be the second ... or the spare or what not.  Because I know I'll be caving in.

Negatory. Nothing they could bring out could make me reinstall DA2...wish I could trade it in and buy something else tbh.

I'm actually playing through BG2 for the 11th time and enjoying it 10x more than I enjoyed DA2.

After playing it? Yes.

It does *enough* differently to warrant its existence. Plus, I want to know the entire story.

I think I'll pass. Parents taught me if you don't have something nice to say... you know. I was very much let down with Dragon Age 2 and I wish they would return to the direction of Origins. Without such changes I, like most of the people in here it seems, will not be returning to Thedas.

Don’t feel the need to buy their cash cow a bell no matter how shiny it is.
And ppl who want to buy it to see how well they have addressed our concerns, don’t!
If they really took the concerns seriously this dlc would have been free.
Now it’s just another shiny bell for the dead cow we bought…
Look, yes it’s dead and yes it smells but with this amazing shiny bell it will almost be like its still alive…for only 10 euro’s! It has a build in Moooooo sound!
