But I do appreciate their listening. Now if they'd just put the darkspawn back they way they were...

I'm certain that that is, in fact, Mike Laidlaw.
I mean, it's got his name and everything!

you're not fooling anybody.
A reviewer joins and makes their name "Laidlaw" in an attempt to make him look bad, then types one sentence before copying and pasting the description that was given by the devs verbatim. It's even more obvious how much of a failure that attempt was when you see that there was only 1 rating and 1 review.
And holy ****! That review and rating was for Legacy!
God Almighty.... everywhere I go I'm surrounded by idiots.... I figured the BSN would give me a break from stupid people.
I was wrong. It seems people feel the need to be enormous ****s to everything Dragon Age instead of judging it fairly.
"It's not Origins 2.0! It sucks, and that's that! I blame Mike Laidlaw because I'm pathetic and need to take my anger and frustration out on people!"
****ing trolls and stupid ****s.
and yes, imad.

And what you just said, plus a few others pointed that out too, has me leaning toward the "yes" camp. Waiting for more reviews though. Especially for PC and since this is day one, it always has the uber new, oooh shiny, reviews.
But I do appreciate their listening. Now if they'd just put the darkspawn back they way they were...
I think when you see the Hurlock Alpha and Genlocks in game you might like them. The pictures and short clips didn't do them justice imo. A close-up shot of a Genlock's face shows how dwarfy they look now.

...and I'm not even done with it yet. I attempted to play my level 13 rogue, and got my butt handed to me by the big C, more than once. Perhaps I'll try it with a better-developed Hawke.

Maybe I'll get it once the price goes down. Or some kind of DLC bundle.

No offence but you won't get that in a DLC.Lellandra wrote...

Hope springs eternal, I guess...
I was being facetious.
The DA2 did not impress me as much as DAO. So no more mulla is going to be spent unless it's amazingly great. Or it changes the ending. haha

What can I say though, it was so-so, I don't know. It didn't really click with me.
Not much dialogue with anyone actually interesting, y'know, the party members. Some banter that I play no part in but that's not really what I was looking for. At least getting to bring along Bethany for something else is good and we did speak. Like, once. The big bad is relatively interesting.
The new weapon seemed kind of bad to the point where I assumed it was bugged. Could just as well switch back to my old one, really. I picked the ignore armor thing too but that did jack all from what I could tell. Maybe I just haven't played the game in a while, I suppose it's possible two handers never did any respectable damage.
The dungeon itself had one pretty nice puzzle in it, it took me a while to actually sort out where the beams originated from though, maybe I overlooked something but it was hard to tell where it just ran into a wall and where it actually came from.
Actually solving the puzzle after that was alright though.
The rest of the dungeon though...I don't know, combat, walk into the next room, some lines of dialogue, combat, combat, walk into next room, more combat. Etc. Great if you like the DA2 combat, worse if you don't, I suppose. I got tired of it while still top-side. The new enemies didn't help any.
The last boss was just annoying. Very repetitive and like hell I'm going to babysit the npcs to avoid the hazards there (especially not on a console) and since they die in two seconds if I don't I just opted to bump down the difficulty and then solo it just to get it over with.
Then the game crashed.
No, really, Freak accident, I'm sure, but just after I looted the boss but before anything else could happen the game died.
So I quit. If it didn't do anything for me up to that point then I'm not going to sit through that boss again.
If you want more DA2 then great, this is probably right up your alley. I was kind of lukewarm about the DLC going in and that hasn't really changed.

No, I already spent too much money on a game I was disappointed with, and no matter how juicy the dlc looks, I won't be supporing anything that has DA2 as a base.
I'll just wait for DA3 which will hopefully be more satisfactory to my tastes.
