I'd rather see the continuation of Hawke's story after she runs off with Fenris (My Hawke).

I think people who talk about DA being "destroyed" by DA2 really need to look at their priorities.
I don't think it's fair to accuse them of having distorted priorities. I think maybe it's more accurate to simply point out to them that their priorities do not reflect the majority. For example, I absolutely hate how easy games are. I loved how frustratingly difficult old NES games were because the feeling you get when you get slightly further or in the rare case actually beat the game (I'm lookin at you T.M.N.T) was better than the hollow feeling of finishing a game that was a cake-walk. When I was in my youth I raged pretty hard about such things but I realized that I'm in the minority and that it's not realistic to expect every company to make things I like - instead I simply look for games that have decided to aim for that niche market (or just play old games).
Which makes it doubly frustrating when a company with a long and solid track record of catering to your specific niche seemingly turns its back on the niche to go mainstream.
People have been accusing Bioware for selling out since Neverwinter Nights.

My hard disk is full right now and I had enough of DA2.... And I bought all DA:O DLC's (except from Golems and Darkspawn)

I will probably buy it once I re-install Dragon Age 2, I needed space for the evil Steam sale over the last two weeks.
And it was evil!

Bioware never catered to a niche. You it just leapfrogged you. We're talking about a company that picked D&D as the PnP property to work with, Star Wars as the sci-fi property to work with, and whose first independent IPs were: Jade Empire and Mass Effect, things that are basically pejoratives on this forum.
Whatever led to DA:O, it was a throwback as opposed to the mainstream.

Bioware has never disappointed me so far - and I am playing its games for ten years now.

They picked D&D for a reason, and with BG and BG2 they've shown what they're capable of. With DA:O they've shown they're still capable of making such great games.
Without the niche, Bioware would never have been able to become the company it is today.
(oh, and I also liked Jade Empire, even though it was a bit different)

(I also want to see if the patches have improved game play, but I'm going to wait to do a new playthrough so that I can try the DLC at the same time)

It obviously won't "fix" DA2. That's not the point of DLC. But that doesn't mean the DLC can't be good on its own.Aermord wrote...

Most of DA2's issues were of design. If Bioware has truly taken our feedback and implemented it into the DLC, most of DA2's problems will not be present in the content. If you absolutely hated the combat in DA2... well that's another story.

BioWare has painted me into a corner with those dumb ME2 appearance packs, though. The easiest way is for me to have a permanent 80-point balance that will never get spent (just one 1600-point buy), but the cleanest way is to spring for two 560s and one 800 and have 400 points left over for hopefully a future DLC (since 400 is a more valid cost than 80). Sigh. I hate BioWare. I hate EA. I hate DLC. I hate microtransactions. I hate points. I hate that they charge me tax on points (shouldn't that be a crime in this state?). I hate that you have to buy your points one option at a time. I hope they all go out of business. AND THEN I GET THE LAST LAUGH.
