If it were a party member story continuation dlc, I'd skip it.
If it were an item pack dlc, I'd skip it.
Whether or not I continue to buy DA2 dlc will depend on the story content of this dlc. If this story continues an old story, answers an old question, bridges some existing stories, provides some new insight into something we already know, or foreshadows some epic future event, then I'll be happy. But if the DLC that Bioware is going to make are one-shot, side-quest-y, mostly disconnected from the existing narrative tales, then I'm not going to buy any more.

Yep. Its unfortunate that DLC doesn't have a "key" that would allow the creation of a Registered Game Owner section for that content. I suspect that the discussion of Legacy is going to be marred by non purchasers ranting incessantly about content that they didn't even buy.
What!? This happens on the internet?

Fallout New Vegas and its DLCs are much more entertaining at the moment. So I won't be re-installing the game unless they do a "Christopher Nolan" and reboot the franchise.

I think people who talk about DA being "destroyed" by DA2 really need to look at their priorities.
I don't think it's fair to accuse them of having distorted priorities. I think maybe it's more accurate to simply point out to them that their priorities do not reflect the majority. For example, I absolutely hate how easy games are. I loved how frustratingly difficult old NES games were because the feeling you get when you get slightly further or in the rare case actually beat the game (I'm lookin at you T.M.N.T) was better than the hollow feeling of finishing a game that was a cake-walk. When I was in my youth I raged pretty hard about such things but I realized that I'm in the minority and that it's not realistic to expect every company to make things I like - instead I simply look for games that have decided to aim for that niche market (or just play old games).
I like games that are hard at the beginning because they're complex and have lots of options, so learning them takes a while. I DON'T like games that STAY hard and force you to do everything 50 times until you luck into that perfect storm of factors that lets you succeed.
Ideally, I think a single-player game should end shortly after I've finally figured out how to do everything properly. When this happens ten hours into the game and there are still a billion more monsters to kill, I turn the difficulty all the way down and nap my way through it.

They picked D&D for a reason
The reason was that it was the most mainstream possible PnP property.
Without the niche, Bioware would never have been able to become the company it is today.
Maybe, but they never wanted a niche per se.

No! That's a myth like the unicorn...or Godzilla...or um...the Tooth Fairy!

You're half right, Ex. Interplay told them to do it.

Maybe for $5 but not for $10.
I don't think Bioware do DLC sales, do they? I'm under the impression that if it's $10, it's going to $10 forever.
Maybe if they're on Steam. I've seen DLC prices slashed during the recent big Summer sale, but I doubt any DA2 DLCs are delivered through Steam.

I would spend my last fifty hours holding my copy of DA2 in front of me as the meteor fell, just to make sure I saw it die before the meteor crushed me.
buying DLC for DA2 is like ordering the Special Edition Blue Ray of the Star Wars Prequels.
