Ok this is one of my first posts on this forum and my first post in this certain sub group of the forums. But I did get the drift from the stickies and such that I need to search the forums to see if a known fix to my bug already exists. I have done this and I even tried google, all to no success. If this is a widely known problem and I am just taking up space on the front page, please forgive me.
Ok, now on to my problem, I surrendered to Cauthrien and was imprisoned in Fort Drakon, without Alistair if it is important. The cell mate asked me the usual stuff, who I wanted to rescue me. I chose Sten and Oghren, and this is where my problems began. I let Oghren talk and bluff his way past the guards until he gets to the captain who shuts him down, which is normal as far as I know. I kill the guards and the captain drops the key which I would assume is supposed to unlock the door into the fort. But it does not, no matter how many I times I try to reload the game. I have controlled both Oghren and Sten, and when clicking on this apparently impenetrable door, it says 'insufficient skill.' I have no idea how to solve this but I am hoping it is an obvious fix.
Mods I have installed which is probably important are: Skip The Fade, More Hairstyles and Improved Atmosphere.

This should probably be in the quests forum, but there should be a key on one of the dead guards to unlock the door. IA changes an incredible number of things, but I don't know if it makes any changes to Ft. Drakon, so that may he your problem. You can also try escaping yourself or using a different pair of companions. Some of them can charm/bluff their way past the first guards.
