I don't mind the idea, but if it were overused it would become reminiscent of DAII's waves and waves of goons--not really any more difficult, just a lot more tedious. In boss battles or against particular types of enemies, I can see it being implemented well.

DA2 would've been more tolerable if the waves were just being necro'd in by backup mages from all the dead corpses already everywhere

it would still get boring, so you pace it out

I can see it now, you just defeated all of the Reapers but one, and he uses "Unity"

*Whole Reaper Fleet pops right back up perfectly fine*

Shepard: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFForget this

As an alternative to waves, sure why not. But it would have to be used pretty judiciously or it would just feel really frustrating to the player. I guess the advantage of waves over resurrection is there's a tiny bit of illusion of progress with the waves.

Enemy medics would make sense.

They won't rise if there aren't any bodies left. Incineration and burning canisters should do the trick.

Now it feels like fighting trolls. First, you fall them, then you use fire on them to make sure they don't get up. And what if you manage to blast a soldier's head off? Will he still get up and fight you then? What about an arm, or a leg? I can't remember, is that something that you can only do to a mech?

It could get complicated pretty quickly. But I think a Reaper could keep rising husks as long as there are still bodies left, until you disintegrate them into ashes.

And if that happens to your teammates, can Shep still use Unity on them?

Dont we already have a version of this in me2? Krogan/vorcha regenerate health. Praetorians regenerate barrier and shielded enemies regen their shields if you don't finish them off quick enough.

I suppose Saren came back from the dead at the end of me1 so there is a precedent for this in me3 with all these indoctrinated enemies swarming around. I'm seeing new possibilities for cryo powers - kind of hard to come back when you've just been shattered into a thousand pieces (unless you're that guy in the terminator film)

I mean boss level, or enemy Spectres. Or maybe enemy medics. They can use medi-gel to revive fallen teammates against Shep, while Shep uses Unity against them. Would make for interesting prolonged battles. Why should Shep be the only one who can use Unity?

Like the Kantus monks in Gears 2? why not, it sounds like fun!

I support this idea, make it so BW!

good idea...
I want to see some boss revives his men and continue to fight me.
But those who killed by inferno ammo and cryo ammo should be not revived.
instead when the boss would not use unity and call reinforcement!!!
Wasting your ammo
Have to think twice when u fire.

Possible boss using unity could be Kai Leng, Reaper Cores/Artifacts (will be cool when they reactivate the husk)

I think this is a pretty good idea for higher difficulty settings, like Veteran and higher. Though I hope only human hostiles can use it. Wouldn't make much sense otherwise.

As long as I can blast their still bleeding bodies to oblivion, I'm cool with it and that it doesn't work unless the target is just dying (not actualy dead).

i like the concept of unity, lets say 2 enemies working together as 1 to do a certion attack like for example a person with a shield and a enemie behind it with a shotgun.

Nah Shepard is the only person in the galaxy who uses medi-gel in combat.

But seriously I'd like to see some enemy medics.

Everyone else follows Council legislation, and Medi-Gel is technically illegal in Council Space..

Sure, as long as the enemies have limited ammo as well.

I want the enemy to have a reload or start from mission beginning button. You've almost won the battle.....the enemy has a sliver of red left and then you get a reload screen. Now I won't mind the enemy having this as long as they have to use the firewalker as well. One pistol shot would take it down.

No thanks. When I kill them, I want the bastards to stay dead. Especially when a varren jumps in and bites a dude to death.

Grunt: TANK INCOMING

Garrus: No worries my krogan friend, a concussive shot will send it flying towards the nearest lava pool..

no. absolutely not.

unity is a gameplay mechanic. not something thats supposed to be used everywhere.

plus, enemies reviving each other sounds tedious and annoying as hell. its not a damn zombie guy, when i kill a dude i expect them to stay dead.
