MP was never confirmed but considering Bioware is dodging questions about it, it looks like it will have it which is sad.ThePwener wrote...
It's a little too late for the "no MP in ME!" things. MP has been confirmed, so stop whining and be happy. I know everyone will be all like "I was so wrong, I love the MP". It's called hipocrisy people, it happenes here all the time.

It was just the founders who dodged this question recently. Now they are vice-presidents of EA I doubt they are truely hands on with the game development so I always believed they didnt know how to comment because they know it was discussed but didnt know if it was included. In one interview they even said they only play the games now when the game demos come through!
Casey and the rest of the team have said numerous times there wont be a multiplayer, so I am far more inclined to believe the project lead and the hands on developers.

There might be a pure shooter ME title when Sheps trilogy is done, which could include MP, but untill then we will not see MP.
I wish these ridiculous rumours would die!

There's no way ME3 will have multiplayer, it's an RPG foir christs sake! IF Bioware put MP in ME3 it would be career suicide.
Career suicide? Like you'd know. Your just a damn fan. Also, Borderlands is considered as a... what did you call it? R-P-G? lol

Man, I really can't wait to blast wave after wave of Husks with 3 other Shepards. Man! How can anybody NOT want that!?

I hate multiplayer.
Periodiclaly I'll dust off some multiplayer game and give it a whirl.
I find it about as entertaining as chewing my finger nails down to low. Theres initial pain and then a few days of irritiation and me cursing myself asking "What the hell did I do that for?"
That said, couldn't give a rats arse if its in ME3. It will just be a menu option I won't click on.
Oh and for gods sake, if there is multiplayer, don't make us have to log on before we can even play single player.
I hate that.
Hate it more than the multiplayer itself.

Oh please. It is totally understanding that its existence would dilute ME3's value 10-fold for ME fans.ThePwener wrote...

I don't see how they could add multiplayer in ME3. The gameplay is not ideal for that and it would feel like weird add-on.
You mean the same gameplay mechanic that Gears of War has? The same game that has MP since the first game? Right.....

Bioshock 2 is another example of a single player game churning out a very mediocre multiplayer experience.
On the plus side, normally Collector Editions announce bonus multiplayer content (maps, weapons, appearances ect) Its nowhere to be seen on it. I take that as some additional reassurance

You mean.... the posters here out of the thousands of fans out there? This place isn't the ONLY place where ME is discussed. Just because people are against it here, doesn't mean EVERYONE is against it.

Ac tually no: it a shooter with RPG mechanics, very different.
Its core mechanic is shooting, but with heavy cusyomisation of guns=/= RPG!
Excatly, i'm a fan... i know what us fans want. See fan=customer.
Including multiplayer would make the story arc waaaay shorter. Would you be happy with that?
95% of BSN & ME fans would not!

People should know better. You are all just fans. You don't know what's better for ME. Saying MP is bad and would ruin ME3 is ignorant and foolish. You're just a fan, what do you know. People in the internet think they have the experience of game developers when they really don't.
And being a fan is bad since when? Would you want us to not be fans? Do you want us to simply be customers, zombies to stroll through supermarkets and mindlessly grab some products?
Of course we are fans and of course we have opinions. And yes, I am with the majority in that I don't think ME3 could benefit from MP. Shepards trilogy is a single player adventure. There is simply no room for any multiplayer. Everything, from powers, armors, weapons, weapon addons, maps would require extensive editing to make it MP viable. All that is work best saved for later when it does not impede any work on the single player. MP in later franchise installations yes, I would like that. But emphasis on later.
And yes again, we are no developers, at least I am not and I guess the majority of other fans is neither. But does that invalidate our opinions?
And you are so much more qualified because?

Yes right, because players spamming Adrenaline Rush, Charge, Cloak, Tech Armor etc. wouldn't be incredibly overpowered in multiplayer so to compromise we end up with a very watered down ME shooter experience where powers are near useless.

Bioshock did stunk, but Assassin's Creed's didn't. And just because the CE doesn't have "content" doesn't mean there isn't. I bet that the game is being delayed BECAUSE of the MP.
