Does anyone pay attention to Bioware anymore? haven't they stated like 4 times that multi-player isn't featured in ME 3 in the past year? Isn't It even in a confirmed features thread that ME 3 will have no MP aspect.

They have never said outright that ME3 has no multiplayer. They have hinted at it, yes, but nothing more.

How about Casey does a tweet that says "There will be no Multiplayer in Mass Effect 3".  That will settle it for me and quite a few other people.  He doesn't need to get painted up like braveheart or get drunk and verbally assault a police officer ala Mel Gibson like.  Nope a simple "There will be no Mulitplayer in Mass Effect 3" will suffice.

Hell at this point it doesn't even have to be Casey just get anyone from Bioware to go on record and say there will be NO multiplayer.  See how it works now ?

I get the feeling I pay more attention to Bioware than you do because they haven't said there will be no multiplayer in ME 3 they have been vague and ambiguous about it.  Unless you can find me a statement where they say "there will be no multiplayer in ME 3".

Yeah because the MP in Doom and Unreal and Halo was terrible and nobody played it. And don't try and pretend those weren't single-player-oriented games. They were. It was a hell of thing to even get Doom/Doom II MP working. But once you DID, it was amazing.

The problem is that if a game does have good MP, people re-define it as an "MP game", or do some revisionist history and suddenly it was always an MP game.

So I'd say it was more true to say that MP tacked on to SOME SP games sucked, rather than it being some kind of rule. To suggest it will "never" work out is ridiculous.

EDIT - Charmingcharlie is correct, btw. BioWare have NEVER NEVER NEVER said "There will be no MP in ME3". They have said all sorts of things about ME3, but not that.

Hasn't it already been confirmed no mulitplayer?  Which is the only thing I don't want with ME3.  Why have the last of a trilogy that is single player than use MP with the last game.  Just f'en stupid if you ask me.

i could've swore they outright said somewhere that there was no multiplayer :/ ah well. With the intruduction of origin my loyalty to the series is faltering. ME 3 is my last game from EA for the forseable future

No it hasn't been confirmed.

However, there's a big different between "being multiplayer" and "having multiplayer", and I suspect that we'll see ME3's MP will be more like the relatively successful coop MP of Red Dead Redemption, that trashy competitive efforts like Dead Space 2.

No it hasn't been confirmed there is no multiplayer.  People got that idea because someone paraphrased the game informer article proclaiming that "there will be no multiplayer".  This was actually WRONG the game informer article actually stated that "they haven't YET found a way to do MP in Mass Effect 3" that is quite different from "there will be no multiplayer".

it is quite a bit different than "No Multiplayer" But "not yet finding a way to do it" and with no further announcements regarding MP (if this is the case i'm still looking for statements from BW) is about just as good as saying "There is no good reason to assume that MP will be integrated into the game by release" Though one could see this as the potential source of the Release Date Setback.

That seems like a ridiculous position.

So if ME3 is the best ME game, and a totally awesome game all-round, but also contains multiplayer, you won't buy future EA games? That makes NO SENSE.

That's like if the next WoW expansion was the best expansion ever, but also had a free single-player "WoW SP" game, and thus I refused to buy anything from Blizzard or Activision ever again... I mean what? How does that even work.

I can understand "If ME3 is bad, I'm blaming the MP and will never buy an EA game again!". I can't understand "Even if ME3 is awesome, I will not buy EA games ever again!".

Doom series was designed with MP in mind. Mass Effect wasn't. IMO multiplayer in Unreal was crap - it was Unreal Tournament that made it better. And Halo was almost all about multiplayer - heck, it is said to revolutionise MP on consoles.

I agree - so many people seem convinced that BW have said that MP definitely will not be in ME3, yet the last few twitter posts we have had on the subject have been creatively vague.

Add to that the fact that threads about MP seem to get left open, and only get closed when people start insulting each other etc.

That doesnt prove that there will be MP, but I've yet to see anything recent that catagorically rulles out MP.

Hang on, if ME3 had multiplayer then it wouldnt be like call of duty etc. It would be akin to halo firefight, and with several people fighting waves of enemies + the mass effect powers.....come on, that would be awesome

You must not know what Origin is, which means you probably play on consoles that or your irresponsible as a PC gamer. Anywho EA is releasing a Store online The Digital Deluxe Edition of ME 3 is an origin excluse (i buy mass Effect thorugh gamestop anyway but still i want to hurt EA sales of games exclusive to origin) I am a Fond and Loyal customer of Steam (another digital distribution center if you will) Which boasts not only a better selection of games includign a  few from EA but a better less restrictive ULA that doesn't mean i lose my games after 24 months of inactive (not like i would be inactive for 2 years anyway it's just the principle) Until origin exclusivity ends, after ME 3 and BF 3, or until  origin is forced out of the market by Impulse, Steam and Xfire(new entry to the Digital distribution market) I will not be purchasing EA games.

edit: Ultimately i'm not Buying EA because of EA nothing in particular with Bioware or Mass effect (though BW's game quality has gone down notably since ME 2 (not as solid of a story as ME 1 when you look at it critically but it was mroe important to the overarching plot in my honest opinion) Just look at DA2(still having an incredibly divided love or hate it community however with no real closure at the end fo the game and no real explanation the game is lacking in story to say the least) I'm still on the Fence with TOR however because that Supports LucasArts as well and i am a fan of star wars and have wanted an MMO and now that from what i understand Galaxies has gone down hill i don't want to spend the money i have for an mmo on one that's closing in 6 months :/))

Anywho AS far as hoping for MP goes i doubt it's likely Any progress in MP would've been announced at E3 think about it. The biggest anouncement in relation to ME 3 was Kinect voice support? Do you honestly think Kinect Voice Support Would somehow beat out Multiplayer in importance? Who the F*** here even wanted or asked about kinect Voice Support?

Like i said i could see an attempt at MP integration as a result of the delay but not likely.

definatly. i dont see why people are so adversed to MP this is the last game in the trilogy and it would  add a couple extra hours of enjoyable gaming to the series, and if your so against MP just dont play it, its not like you have to play multiplayer, the option MIGHT be there for those who want it, nothing is for sure yet so stop ****ing.
