or they're discouraging folks from Assuming, or jumping to the conclusion of MP in the game.

Seriously though, they have to be experimenting with MP, otherwise, why all the secrecy on the subject? If MP isn't a factor, why not come out and say it? That's what everyone else does. No point in acting all weird when someone asks about it.

Brenon's last name here is Holmes. Who else is called Holmes?
That's right, Sherlock Holmes.
And who has the avatar of a turian Sherlock Holmes? I do.
And what did I say about the MP demo? That it was retarded.
See the pattern?

I just again want to draw attention to E3 don't you think if BW had something as important as MEMP to announce they'd have done it there?

I think there is two reason why things related MP goes the way it does.ThePwener wrote...

1. In some article they sayed little like that they haven't yet figure how to MP would fit in ME. So, they don't consider that adding MP will be just add there, but how to add so that it make sense. So, hole MP is big IF for them.
2. I think 90% of people in this forum doesn't want MP in ME3. That's kind of big NO statement.
So, if you consider these two point, no wonder they don't talk, because no point to aggro people here and if they haven't figure will it have it or not, so why to talk at all one way or other.
As for Demo, nice to hear we can try before buying.

I thought they already did that?
As for MP, I'm not opposed to MP games. Have a lot of fun doing co-op with my friends. But ME3? I'm not one of those people who are opposed to multiplayer because they'd find it sacrilege to have the IP 'tainted' with frat boy Black Ops players talking about their frags and whatnot. I wouldn't be opposed to a future ME title having multiplayer at all, that'd actually rock if they made a co-op game like that.
But ME3 is just not the place to do it. It's the last game in the Shepard trilogy and multiplayer would take a great amount of resources away from the singleplayer which is where all the focus should be to deliver a suitable end to this part of the series. The gameplay is incredibly unsuited to multiplayer and you'd essentially have to come up with whole new characters and skillsets to make it workable away from singleplayer.
As for why it got pushed back, I don't buy the Kinect theory because it's just voice commands - do they really need 4 extra months to take care of that? I think the two more plausible theories are that it wouldn't be wise to compete head-to-head with Skyrim and maybe they just wanted to make sure they have enough time to get everything in.

Maybe Bioware is indeed thinking of adding a multiplayer component to the ME games - after ME 3. It would sort of make sense since the universe is now at war...

The ruining SP thing isn't correct or viable. Drop it. Nobody here is a developer to know it would really ruin it.
Time and money spent on developing any kind of workable multiplayer DEFINITELY will take a lot of resources away that could've been spent on perfecting singleplayer. Your continual push of, "Well, I am most certainly correct because you are not a developer and thus everything you assert is incorrect." while not providing any further logical reasons for your assertions are getting tiring.

It is viable. Budget and the devs are not going to appear out of thin air to make MP. That mode requires time, people and money on proper net code, engine optimizations, balance and so on. No to mention it takes space on a disc, which can be used for SP experience.

I see this delay as they creating MP. The game is finished, and they say, "the heck with it!" and add MP. It isn't that far-fetched, considering it isn't BW who really calls the shots, but EA!!! EA for God's sake! You know how does guys are!!!

Your only evidence is an extension of the release date and that EA is the devil. And it's not about 'sides'. I'm a big fan of co-op, but I realize shoving multiplayer in at this stage will result in a half-assed attempt that will please nobody and take resources away from the singleplayer. It's a bad idea.
And if they DID shove in multiplayer, why would they continually deny it? You could use the 'So people don't complain' card, but the entire point of multiplayer is to grab a new audience and keeping it under wraps and claiming it doesn't exist is incredibly counter-productive to that purpose. It's bad marketing and it's bad business.

Im just tired of the whole thread. It's me against EVERYONE. In this whole thread, only one guy vouched for me, and even he seemed conflicted. MP will probably be in ME, and some will like it, and others will. Oh well....
from the Bioware guys edit I don't think you can really use the words "probably be in ME" together with multiplayer. If this were the case the thread wouldn't necessarily have been "misleading" just "speculative". I do really have to agree with Kaiser unless kaiser was just joking. In which case i'd still agree with that POV.
In any case hopefully the demo is good and i'm honestly glad to see a return of demos to the gaming industry. Indispensible resource to game sales. and consumers
