what's the probability to find the crater to get the metal to make the starfang sword?I have the warden commander armor.... and isn't there supposed to be a warden shield or am I wrong?

I just picked up soldier's peak dlc what's the probability to find the crater to get the metal to make the starfang sword?
I have the warden commander armor.... and isn't there supposed to be a warden shield or am I wrong?

Crater's a random encounter, you should get it eventually-it varies when you get it.I don't think there's a warden shield.

I just got it by going from Honnleath/Lothering about 4x
is starfang the best one handed sword in-game? I see it has 3 rune slots which is nice

When you fight Sophia there is a chance that a Warden shield drops. But I have never seen it in my playthroughs.

Save before you fight Sophia Dryden.
She has a small chance (Maybe 5%) of dropping the Wardens shield along with the armor when she dies. If you dont get it, reload and try again. You may have to do this alot. But its definely worth it. It has the same stats as Duncans shield.
FYI theres a number of enemies in the game that are this way, have low chances to drop unique and or rare gear.
Also the highest chance you have to trigger the meteor event is by traveling between Honnleath and flemths hut.

where does Duncain's shield come in? I got maric's sword/duncan's sword and dagger from RTO

In Denerim at near the end of the game.
But by that point you should be looking to get the Fade Wall shield. another low drop chance shield from a optional super boss.
