So you're saying it will be a completely different experience for each act?

Glad I have six saves!!! :o

Sorry, I should have been more specific the first time (I edited it but it was clearly too late). The story adapts to when you enter the DLC, the physical aspects of the content (level design, art, combat) don't change (nor should they need to) if you enter from different spots.

Oh thats okay. :D

I have saves so I can try it for each act.   I am looking forward to seeing how different it is going through in the first act and seeing how it is in the second and third act, play-wise. Just want to know if the challenge changes depending on what level. :)

All of them. The content changes to accommodate the story depending on when you decide to start it.

And by content I don't mean physical content - it plays more or less the same no matter when you do it, it's just that the dialogue will reflect the current point you're at in the game.

Excellent news, Luke.

My preferred DLC offers side-quest content within the main game, but being able to access it whenever we'd like is pretty nifty.  I always did Durlag's Tower in Chapter 3-4 of Baldur's Gate, so I like doing the big sidequests before the end.

Can the design lead be asked what the canon place in the game is ("canon" meaning "the place I'd do it, being the person who came up with it")?

I'm guessing Act II, but any particular spot?

Huh, Bethany/Carver will be very surprised if the dlc is played after end-game and they died at deep-roads =D

I have a question.

If Legacy is a side-quest that fits within the DA2 game, from what chapters in DA2 is Legacy content accessible?

Now that's neat. I'll test it out in every act.....with both siblings AND without them. That will keep me busy over the weekend!!!:wub::devil::devil::o:O

Does Merrill have any substantial dialogue in the DLC? I mean more than one or two lines. Doesn't have to be a lot of dialogue, but something.

I know Varric and the siblings do, and it's entirely likely Anders does as well.

Don't forget about the live demo and Q&A session following TODAY at 12:30 pm PST. That is approximately 3 hours from now. If you can't watch it live, we will be recording it so you will be able to see it later on. :)

Where did they confirm this?

A while ago Gideon Emery posted a picture of himself on Facebook from when he was standing in a recording booth wearing a Dragon Age 2 T-shirt, so I guess Fenris has dialogue as well.

Every companion has a decent amount of new dialogue. I believe* this will be the first DLC to record new VO for all characters.

Did you get the original voice actors back or hire an impersonator?

Encouraging news, but what parts of the DAII narrative does this new dialogue explore?

It's actually me. I don't know if you've heard, but I do a -fantastic- Varric impression.

Alternately, they're all the original actors.
