In the video we just saw, Carver was part of the squad as a templar. Now I forgot what act the showing was but if the DLC is started in Act 2 are we able to take the sibling along with us? As Carver mentions being able to leave his duties for a bit.

Thanks.

Yes, as long as they aren't dead you can take them with you. The story will change slightly depending on whether they are Grey Warden or Templar/Circle.

That's correct. Dialogue and appearance will change to reflect their status, but otherwise, yes.

Thank you John.

1) Will the Bonus items of Legacy carry over in new playthrough?

1) If you mean after you've played through in a new playthrough, yes. However, you have to acquire the items before you can use them in the base game. Sorry, I'm not certain I understand your question 100%,

I think I understand the question.  he's asking if the items in legacy become permanently unlocked in  the  future, Like  how you guys did it with DA:O DLC.

For example.  once you  unlocked the  Battledress of the Provocateur in Lilianna's Song, it forever more becomes "starting gear" in your  warden's inventory in future playthrus.

I think it's more along the lines of Return to Ostagar with Cailan's Armor. Leliana's Song was like a separate module

Edit: Too slow...

So, when i played through Legacy DLC as a mage, i get the specific mage weapon. When i start a complete new DA2 playthrough as a mage, is the Legacy Weapon in my "special delivery" box?

Does my choices from the main game have any impact on the story in this DLC?

How linear is the story in this DLC? Can I make a difference? I can't help but notice It's been told in the same way by Jo.. I mean Varric.

No, it won't. You'll have to go through the Legacy dungeon and do all the quests there again to obtain it. It's like the other DLC in the game right now, you don't get all of the items that you find over the course of the Exiled Prince DLC (like the Low Blade) delivered to you on a new playthrough either. You still have to go find them.

I agree.  And it will be even  more interesting to see  why Bethany is given leave from the Circle and allowed to flat-out leave the city, which I would think would be impossible unless there's a really *really* good reason for her captors to allow it

No. You'll need to play through Legacy on your new mage to get the weapon. There are reasons for this that I can't get into, as they'd be veering into spoiler territory, but it's not just us saying 'HAHA, YOU CAN'T HAVE YOUR TOY NOW'

Thanks for the answer John. But it doesnt make sense for me, that i have to go again through the whole DLC to get the Bonus items.

Which act makes the most sense storywise, completely disregarding gameplay, taking into account the Wardens' 'pressing matters' in Act 2. Just answer 1,2 or 3 to avoid spoilers. PM me if need be, I NEED chronology :D

I don't like to give time estimates because someone will invariably take it and, when the DLC is longer/shorter/exactly as long, will use that estimate to say 'SEE, BIOWARE LIED TO US/TOLD US THE COMPLETE TRUTH/MAY BE HARBOURING ORWELLIAN INTENTIONS'. The DLC's length, however, is fairly dependenet on your playstyle. It's long, however. At least a couple of hours for 99% of people, and probably longer for most.

This weapon is not just any weapon, it is important to Legacy's story. So on your new playthrough, storywise Legacy would not make sense if you already had that weapon. Hope that helps.

I'd say Act 1 or early Act 3. Act 2 works just fine as well, though, and the story still makes sense. I'd actually suggest doing it once through Act 1 and once through Act 3, though.

Thank you very much, this can now be a day 1 purchase! I feared I would have to wait for other forumites to let me know when it takes place best. Think I'll try early act 3 first because I'm starting my next DA2 playthrough in the next couple of days! Thanks again.

Every companion has a decent amount of new dialogue. I believe* this will be the first DLC to record new VO for all characters.

Did you get the original voice actors back or hire an impersonator?

It's actually me. I don't know if you've heard, but I do a -fantastic- Varric impression.

Alternately, they're all the original actors.

I would totally buy a game/DLC voiced solely by the one and only John Elper. Make it happen guys!

But failing that the fact you got back all the old VAs is a masterstroke and I hope it sets a precedent for DLC of this nature. /applauds.

Interesting that it plays best in Act 1 and early 3 as well. I was thinking early Act 3 myself, although I still wish I could play it before the cut scene with Orsino at the beginning of the Act happens. *grumble*

I wasn't paying keen attention when this question as asked during the telecast, but I *thought* I heard them say that this  will be the longest DLC they've ever done.  Which would put it at  possibly more than 3 hours?

Personally though,  Length isn't really an issue for me.  Quality content completely trumps quanity.  Always.  Give me a solid hour of immersive, compelling content and I'll be much happier than  if you toss me 6 hours of tedius/ boring  same-same.
