It's not just men that are choosing not to get married.

In most developed countries around the world, both women and men are choosing to stay single longer, putting more energy into their careers and personal enjoyment of their lives. The populations in most developed countries in Europe and Asia, for example are aging as people get married later, have kids later, or don't start families at all.

I never understood the appeal of older women. Sure some of them are hot but younger women are SO much hotter. The gym I work at is near both a campus and a high school so all the hot college and high school girls like to come over and work out after class and it's hard to even pay attention to anyone over the age of 22.

A 25 year old dating a 32 year old? That's like....7 years age difference? When I was 23 I dated a guy who was 28, that's 5 years. 2 years on top of that is like....nothing? So what's the fuss about? Her being older than you? Yeah people tend to freak out about that. If it were the other way around, you wouldn't care at all, ammiright?

Either stop being so childish and ignore the age difference or then look for someone younger cos' it's obviously bothering you.

I dated a woman that was 37 when I was 27 (last year). She had a kid from an earlier relationship as well. It didn't work out in the end but it was a fun experience and we're still good friends.

What amazes me is that a woman in her early thirties is considered "older". While she may be comparatively older than sympathy4saren, thirty-two is hardly "cougar" territory. A seven year age gap is nothing. The two of you are practically in the same generation. That said, I would have suggested going for it even if she was in her forties. What matters is how you both feel about the relationship. Not what some uptight onlookers might think.

This is due to the traditional maternal outlook on women as a whole.

As men can have children at pretty much any age, and women cannot, their underlying view of women begins to decline as they approach the point-of-no-mommaship. I am not certain whether it is instinct or traditional wisdom. 

But I agree, women certainly seem to "age" faster than men socially.

Only if a man felt sex was the most important part of a relationship, and was drawn primarily to women in the same age range. I wrote my post under the assumption this was an actual romantic relationship developing.

If you are referring to the possibility of death, it is still meaningless because any of us can die at any time for any number of reasons. People frequently end up widowed and forced to move on alone, or eventually enter a new relationship. Simultaneous couple deaths are not a universal truth.
