It would be awesome if one of the copies used the Vortex ability the Pride Demon in The Last Straw used, while the others cast some powerful spells.
I doubt that's the case though.

You forgot that according to Bioware - they make RPG games for people who don't play RPG games...
So it is only natural for them to make simple stupid games right now.
I'm no lover of DA2 but that's just harsh.
So I make a game that steps beyond the boundaries of the normal geek crowd and my game is instantly stupid?
If this narrow-minded view is the result of playing "elite" and "complex" game than I prefer whiny Halo fanboys anyday. <_<

Adding little bit of exploration, variety of monsters that require some thinking to defeat and some good quality quest you will remember and interesting dualogues is too much in your opinion I see...
You want point A from where you start. Point B when you will end. Straight line between them so you will not get lost. Waves of ninjas from the sky to do something in your way and big bad monaster that want destroy the world just to destroy the world at the end that have too much HP for his own sake. Ofcourse there will be some short lame conversations with good/stupid/bad answer that will always end with one outcome.
That's stupidity that BW present in DA II and Legacy. That stupidity that you call "thinking outside boundaries".
Can't say that you are narrow minded. Narrow minded people could be offended.
I I'm just hoping you are joking and I didn't get your joke.
If not. Go play Diablo. It will be perfect for you.
1/10 for that monster with shield. Atleast BW try a little.

Most of what you listed are actual flaws of the game. What he was saying is that getting away from traditional slow combat and over-reliance on stats is not necessarily a bad thing. But that point completely flew over you, apparently.
And I'm sorry, have you played Legacy?
0/10 for you awkwardly attatching scores to things you don't like.1/10 for that monster with shield. Atleast BW try a little.

The beginning is pretty much pimping DA2 out. The team didn't sit on their laurels at the end of DA, da2 could be used to bring innovation to move the franchise forward, gained new fan, and old fans like the new art style, the combat system, and how the story is focused on a new hero and his journey through power.
Moving past this, it looks like enemies wont drop from the sky. I still can't believe that guy died on casual.
!!!
Not this old fan!

Sure there were side quests strewn about in certain areas where that happened (Korcari Wilds), but it was still there. Legacy has been confirmed by the devs to have plenty of side quests to do.

The G in RPG stands for Game, I don't know what a role playing game game is but it sounds terribly confusing.Dariuszp wrote...

Most games are in the end, it's just a question of hiding it, which I don't think DA2 did as well as Origins what with the narrower spaces, plus how individual zones more often had only one objective in them at the far end of a path full of trash mobs. The Ethereal Writer Redux wrote...
Wasn't Origins "Go from Point A to Point B" as well?

Didn't sit on your laurels huh? Guess that's why there's only one dungeon in the game.
Also very impressed with the level designs. Wow, an old prison... just like Kirkwall. That's innovative new thinking right there.

That Pride demon encounter looked kind of lame. It looks like it only has one attack (green energy ball) that does little damage in addition to the Ogre ground-pound (which does too much damage by comparison). It's also incredibly easy to pick out the real one among the clones and since all the clones die when you root out the real one... it would seem that the enounter just devolves into a typical hack'n'slash quickly.
It's basically identical to the encounter with the Desire Demon in Connor's mind from Origins.

But I like the level design, the absence of waves........ And the Pride-Demon encounter mirror-ing the Desire Demon encounter at Redcliffe is a nice touch.
Absolutely buying it!

Maybe these adapted to their environment/location? Or there's something in the water? Or BW is trying to rectify the cuddly-stuffed-animal-genlocks from DA2?
