But at least Origins was a good game so the graphics were the least important thing and remember it used to look like this.
This strangely reminds me of Prince of Persia.

Saw this still not a must buy for me. Actual Legacy gameplay starts at 2:45. Also this is casual mode which is why everything dies so easy.

The fact that you literally had to play the game twice to get all the story (the dragon choice at the end especially annoyed me) was what soured me to TW2.
I was thinking that this is best part of the whole game.
Same here but I guess people like him would prefer to be spoon fed all the information and lore the game has to offer.

I thought it was decent. There are many poor design decisions in the game, but the base combat was fun (if a bit fast) and I enjoyed questing.Corto81 wrote...
DA2. was mediocre at best.
What really dragged DA2 down was, like I said before, poor design. Restricting the player to only a few static areas and recycling dungeons endlessly made for a bland setting and that obviously didn't set well with players. Enemies falling from the sky didn't help. But that's also the saving grace for the DA2 DLC. If those design flaws are rectified, then what we're left with is solid gameplay in new areas with not a single parachuting mercenary in sight.
If you didn't like the combat then... well you're out of luck. But I'd like to think most people were fine with the combat despite its slightly overly frantic pace.

I wouldn't judge the entire product based off of a few minutes of footage of one area. If Bioware manages to fix DA2's major design flaws, then the DLC should be able to stand on its own.Corto81 wrote...
Seeing the new Legacy video... I don't see what's changed.
The whole DLC looks like it was copy-pasted from an MMO instance run...
And the environment in the background is so bland and empty, makes me just so angry what they did to the franchise.

If you liked DA2's combat and don't mind the less-than-stellar graphics we've come to expect, Legacy shouldn't worry you.
Kirkwall? Out of the picture.Ringo12 wrote...
But it's just a dlc...how can it possibly fix anything? I'm assuming Legacy isn't anywhere near as big as say borderlands or GTA IV dlc.

Recycled areas? Gone.
Enemies appearing out of thin air? Gone.
It's not going to touch the main game, but it will fix some of the issues from the main game in the DLC. That will help this content stand on its own.

This wasn't a very good demo. If BioWare were trying to convince us that they've been listening to criticism, then showing us a corridor and a boss fight that the guy button-mashes to death (and no dialogue) was probably not the best route. Hopefully we see something more worthwhile at Comic-Con. =/

I'm just appalled at the environment. I know I've said it before, but look at the background at 2.58-3.02 in the video.
That's like.... Commodore 64 quality.

Regardless of who it is, whenever a company representative gets up to talk about a product the correct response is to ask yourself: "What is that -ing liar -ing lying about now?"San Diego Thief wrote...

How does RL people affect a single player game? And I'm sorry to say that you changing your opinion about TW2 from "the bestest RPG I've ever played" to "overrated" will not make DA2 any better. And there is no smug, condescending attitude by anyone that can make TW2 less than the best RPG in a long time.

Heh If I let the Bioware commnity effect how I viewed my games I would hate Mass Effect 2 and love Dragon Age 2 and hate any studio who gives Bioware competition.

I haven't changed my opinion on the game at all. It's still brilliant IMHO. But the obsessive behavior of some of its fans is kinda irritating. It's like the damn thing is SACRED and God help you if you do not worship it!
And I am not saying that TW2 being seriously overrated makes DAII any less or more than it is.

I'm tired on TW2 and I've never even played it nor visited their forums. Do they even have forums? Seems like the fans all come here.
