Everyone show some love for their favorite Homicidal baby Krogan we all know as Grunt!
We dont want new meatshields for ME3! We want OUR meatshield!

Out of all the ME2 squad mates Grunt has the best chance to return. Shepard is his battlemaster. He goes where Shepard goes. Having him anywhere in ME3 other than at Shepard's side is a absolute disgrace.

If anyone wants to make some signature bars feel free to do so (I lack the knowledge) and I will add them to the thread with credit to the creators.

Fanart!

I love Grunt. I hope we get some quality time with him. :)

Btw, what happened to the other Grunt for Permanent Squaddie thread?

I decided to let it die and make a new one here because the other was in the other forum before they made the character section.

The writers can do almost anything they want with Grunt. No one knows what Okeer was imprinting on him while he was in the tank.

He feels nothing for Okeer. Okeer couldnt plant connection remember? This is why Grunt has to figure himself out. He should be with Shepard.

Glad it didn't get shut down for some crazy reason because we totally need a Grunt thread! I think he'd be a good candidate for a permanent squaddie. Wrex is handling the krogan race, so that frees up Grunt to cruise around with his battlemaster!

I heard we were getting more than 6 and less than 12 for the squad. that's a lot of room. Surely Grunt wouldn't want to be left behind. It'll be the ultimate battle!

Love Grunt! Taking him and Jack on missions were where some of the funniest dialogue in the game had happened!

It's subliminal, something just needs to trigger it. I don't believe Okeer failed, if he did Grunt becomes a lot less interesting IMO. This is something I wrote for the party banter thread a while back

[Scene - Shepard, Mordin and Grunt have boarded and fought their way through the interior of a Reaper laying waste to Sur'Kesh. Upon the core's destruction Grunt rushes forward to a control panel]
Shepard: Grunt, what are you doing?
Grunt: Shepard, it's magnificent. I have found my purpose and I understand why Okeer created me.
Mordin: Unknown imprint has surfaced. Triggered from subliminal memories. Beware Shepard. We are not dealing with the Grunt you know but rather the Warlord Okeer.
Grunt: Silence Salarian. I am about to show your kind a fraction of the desolation you inflicted on mine. Behold, the largest spawning pool on Sur'Kesh. After I engage the Reapers weapon the pools will be obliterated entirely. How many of your larval young will die Salarian?
Mordin [extremely agitated]: Monsterous. Millions will be denied a chance to ever experience life. Diversity of a generation lost forever. This must not be allowed. [Mordin holds up a gun with unsteady arms]
Grunt: You think that pea-shooter is going to stop me? Your kind will soon know what we felt.
Shepard: Grunt, you are not Okeer, hell you hate him. Be the bigger man and show forgiveness.
Grunt: Forgiveness is not the Krogan way Shepard. Your people have a saying, "An eye for an eye". That is the Krogan way.
Shepard: The Krogan way is in the fight against worthy enemies. The ones you would kill are not worthy. Hell Grunt, they can't even walk.
Grunt: It is symbolic Shepard. When I do this Urdnot clan will rise and Salarians everywhere will know despair. This is my lifes purpose Shepard. My destiny.
Shepard: The strong make their own destiny. And your destiny is to stop the Reapers. As it stands the Salarian homeworld has been saved by a Krogan, that is what will make clan Urdnot proud and respected accross the galaxy. Okeer has no hold on you Grunt.
Grunt[stares down at the Salarian homeworld then turns back to Shepard]: You're right again Shepard. They are not worthy and neither was Okeer. Lets get back to the Normandy and get some breakfast. Then hunt down another Reaper.

Interesting, but I still want him as a permanent squadmate.

I honestly don't see any reason for why Shepard would let grunt leave or why Grunt would even want to leave. Grunt loves to fight, and he knows Shepard gets into the best fights in the Galaxy. Plus Shepard is Grunt's Battle Master, which only increases his chances.

I can see Shep sending everyone on their way before he/she goes to Earth just so they don't get any of the backlash that's going to hit.

Grunt could be dropped off somewhere like Tuchanka while Shep handles his/her business. After the escape, I'm hoping we can go pick him up.

I support this, we need a Krogan squadmate or I will... Well, I'll be at least somewhat pissed off... Anyway, awesome fan art FTW! You should use this as the opening post picture: http://26.media.tumb...zkrfxo1_500.jpg

We always have a krogan in the squad and looks like Wrex is busy.
Why introduce a new krogan when we have Grunt.

as a squaddie grunt was ok, but as a character...it felt like he was a stereotype of the krogan race. hes krogan, he likes fighting, those r his main features...

Grunt for S/S romance!

The badassery contained in a Shepard/Grunt/Wrex squad would implode the universe.
