We know there will be fewer squadmates but given that fact and beyond social interaction, squaddies serve a combat role, where wil Grunt be relegated to? I imagine he will not even be a playable squadmate, in light of Vega.

Your thoughts?

I don't think Vega is taking away anyone's role. I have high hopes that Grunt will do whatever it is that he needs to do and then joins Shepard. Grunt is always looking for the biggest, toughest battle. He knows that with Shepard, he'll find it. It makes sense that he'd want to tag along.

My guess is that we'll have to so some sort of mission with him, and then he'll be free to join us.

In all forums I've visited, a lot of people disliked Vega so I don't think he will take Grunt's seat in the Normandy 3.0

The way Grunt has been written, I find it very hard to see him to just leave when shepard will be running into his most dangerous fights yet. As I said before, he loves to fight and he knows Shepard runs into the best fights. I doubt grunt will leave because the Shaman wants him after the mission. It just wouldn't fit his character. But then again, Bioware probably will use that as reason for us not to have grunt. And if we don't get to have Grunt, hopefully we'll get a couple of awesome cut scenes showing Grunt and Wrex kicking ass together.

Don't be mad if there's not Grunt into Shepard's team who will be the krogan into our squad ???
And as bioware said squadmates do not work like in the previous Mass Effect games .. I don't really what they mean but I really want to see Grunt into the " Permanent squadmate Group " like Garrus , the VS and Vega ...

All I ever hear fans wanting is Tali, I'm really worried I don't have a krogan squad mate in 3. I do like Wrex's character more but given his work it makes much more sense he will be busy. I hope they just don't write Grunt staying on Tuchanka. This adding a new tank to the game worries me because if you have Vega, Ashley, and Grunt then you'd have three tanks. Unless they gave Grunt biotics like Wrex seeing as how they are changing leveling once more, but I doubt that.

OT: I love Grunt I'm his battlemaster and without me he would start leveling cities in a bloodrage. Grunt plays an integral part of my squad for my play style and the game just wouldn't the same (or better)

Grunt is awesome. His eyes are super sexy.

Honestly, I think Grunt might be the first ME2 squaddie to be revealed. Perhaps later this week at SDCC? I wish Steve Blum had a Twitter or something so he can slip up & say he's working on Grunt's voice.

I hope that the San Diego Comic Con will show some gameplay with Grunt but my mind tells me that that Thane or Jack will make an appearance cuz a lot of mass effect players love the dark side of those characters :facepalm:

Iam playing Zombies on Black Ops right now and Dempsey is my favorite character mainly because he is voiced by Steve Blum.  HE IS LIKE A HUMAN GRUNT!

That being said, I'd like his character flushed out more, think he isn't given enough credit as it is though, you seem him go through the self doubt at the beginning of the game then find his place, his krannt if you will, hope they keep him I really do

But Grunt doesn't have any doubts about his krantt ... maybe he would havz some doubts aboit his place if you didn't make his loyalty mission but remember that Shepard's team is named as Grunt's krantt in his loyalty mission...

In gameplay perspective, definetely make Grunt permanent coz Garrus and Grunt = WIN, but in story perspective probably not, because he is now Urdnot and have responsebilites to protect his clan.
