 So I've been browsing through the ME forums for a little over a year, and I've noticed the strong love for minor characters from the first ME game, such as Shiala, Gianna Parasini, Lorik Quinn, and the like. However, I find that the equivalents of these characters from ME2 are almost never spoken of. I define these 'minor characters' as a step up from unnamed characters, but not quite at the level of people such as the Councilors, Anderson/Udina, Aria, etc. They are generally involved in a sidequest, and you have the option to let them live or die. I find this strange, as personally I feel like these characters had more personality in the second game.

Some of these characters include Maelon (Mordin's student in his loyalty mission), Aresh (the Teltin Facility survivor in Jack's LM), Jacob's father, Kolyat (Thane's son), and Sidonis. Which of these minor characters from ME2 do you forumites like, and may they possibly affect ME3's outcome?

Personally, I feel that Aresh had a very interesting plotline and motives, and that he and Maelon could definitely play a role in ME3, even if it's a small, recurring one.

I am sure we'll hear from at least some of them, as otherwise the choices would be rather pointless eh?

Definitely. I just find it interesting how they're never talked about on the forums, when to me they seem far better minor characters than ME1's.

I would like to see Sidonis redeem himself through something like an ultimate sacrifice in order to give Shep or Garrus and escape hole they need or something to the like.

I never saved Sidonis's life before. haha I was so confused when reading this thread at first.

I didn't really like many of the minor characters in ME2. I can't think of any off the top of my head that i'd like to see in ME3...
