That's because the squadmates have a much higher accuracy than I do. They have unlimited ammo too.

In my hands, the incisor has the least amount of ammo compared to the other semi auto sniper rifles, which just makes it a pathetic little thing.

id more than likely stick with the mattock, without sounding like a crazed fan. its semi-automatic, powerful and accurate. the avenger is okay, but its too inaccurate, being all over the place, but i reckon it was designed for the newbs and/or insane difficulty players as its overpowered. but imagine mixing the power with the mattock

Avanger is used by alliance soldiers not by N7 they will have better gun it would be pointless if N7 team would have this weak guns.

I will use it on Insanity for my soldier but as soon as I get to the Collector Ship or research the AR acc, I switch to the Revvy. Just use small bursts and it does just fine at mid-range and at close range the Revvy is monstrous. And I never worry about running out of ammo with my Revvy.

If only it would be more accurate and less... pink... or red.. whatever the color is.

eh.....ammo is an issue to a point, but since you can kill much better with the Mattoc and with more accuracy you should be able to conserve more...in theory

eh.....ammo is an issue to a point, but since you can kill much better with the Mattoc and with more accuracy you should be able to conserve more...in theory

I shoot pretty accurately, but still I find myself lacking ammo pretty often. But with Avenger, it's much rarer ocation. I can manage with Mattock (heh, I always call it Matlock) just fine... It's just less enjoyable when I have to search ammo in fear of running out after each fight.

I like the Mattock for myself but Squadmates cant use it properly.
Better giving them a gun like the Revenant or something they can spray.

Sure, BW will nerf it to uselessness or 'balance'... until they decide to come out with a new DLC weapon that will become the new Mattock.

BW and EA's profit line is more important than your silly notion of game balance.

I love the Mattock,wouldn't trade it for any other gun,except maybe that new wicked looking yellow one with the bayonet.


Also, I think the reason they didn't make an N7 AR is because they are adding several new AR anyway.

Personally, I always thought this was easily the best gun in the game.  Of course, I blame the original Mass Effect for this, since I got used to being able to simply point my Assault Rifle at an enemy and hold down the trigger till he disappeared.  Had to do some readjusting till I got my Revenant...and immediately started playing that way again.

Never been a big fan of the Revenant,not enough finesse, I can got 10 HS downrange in half the time it takes to burst fire the same guy, I understand its usefulness against against husks and such,but at the end of the day I prefer the scalpel to the jackhammer...hopefully with all these new guns and with modifications there will be a good amount of diversity, I already now I can add like 40% ammo capacity to the Mattock,so I think I'm good on that front.

all in all I honestly want a relatively slow semi auto single slug rifle with the maximum possible punch for CQC to mid range like the Shotgun in Crysis 1 with no goddamn spread

and something like the Mattoc for other situations

Mattoc, Phalanx and GPS were made as per fans requests

we wanted a laser sight weapon......Phalanx was created
we wanted a Geth Shotgun (and a shotgun with less spread)..GPS came along
I personally started a reqhest thread for a weapon like GoW's locust (others asked for it too).......boom.....there's the mattock

The mattock is ok but isn't that what they use in the Demo's? I'm not impressed with it's stopping power from watching them and watching dev's dump clips of ammunition into enemies.

As for the inciser... I only use it early on... it's sloppy and wasting of ammo for a sniper rifle... It's not bad to start with but there are better. even when they have less ammo. they make better use of it.

Only the M-14 could be fired in full-auto mode. Not that it was used that way very often.

If you were on casual and I was on hardcore, I would drop twice as many mooks as you in the same amount of time.

IMO Widow is a bit overrated, I can take out twice as many targets with the the Viper as well, I guess that it why it is an infiltrator weapon,any other class it is unneccesary.
