Look too much like a cross of Asari and Drell to me. And we can see in ME1 that Tali has a more human looking nose.

Although I appreciate your effort and do think you've got great creative skills, I really don't like this look for Quarians.

Same here.

This is really good work but...
BioWare has I plan for Tali's face and quarians in general, I just know it.
Lets just let them implement their own design.
It will make me happy whatever it is.
:D

That better be hair and not something what Asari have.

I agree, the crest thing is a little too asari-ish. The rest is great though.

Wouldn't be my first choice but it's still looks great, hell a lot better than most concept i've seen before, however it should looks closer to Human(it need hair, for a start). I personally glad its not another "space elf" or "tweaked asari"

I'm not envious of Talimancers. A turian female would be even more attractive.

I agree. Don't get me wrong, the design is awesome. But if Quarians get unmasked and look like this, my ME3 playthrough will stop imediately, and I'll be starting over from ME1 :P

Why should the inmuno-booster implant be external? It makes more sense to be inside the body so the skin can close and not open a wound.

If Quarians looked like that then I'd have to delete my Tali romanced Sheps. Still, OP has artistic talent, just not digging the design.

legally BW wouldn't be able to take any design from the community, so it's a pointless exercise.

That 3D render is interesting as a starting point, but I'd probably give the Quarians a cleaner look and a sort of egg shaped head, something like in this quick concept I whipped up:

Image IPB

The males (left) would have slightly rougher features and a longer nose, while the females (right) would have an overall smoother appearance. Some light cybernetic implants - immunity boosters and whatnot - are a possibility, like in the second row, but nothing too intrusive. The skin color would be predominantly grey, with the possibility of the slightest, barely noticable tints towards purple, pink, blue or yellow. Thoughts?

This is pretty good actually. It might be best just to keep it real simple. I mean we basically can see Tali's general face features already, we just aren't certain of the minor details such as skin color, etc.

I like this look because it maintains a sort of Reptile/Avian look which the Quarians should have given their close relation to the Turians genetically.

Too asari/humanoid....

They should be more in line with 'not too humanoid' faces like the turians, not overly non humanoid like alien/predator (and lets not forget that no matter what it turns out to be not everyone will be happy). Iirc they still weren't sure how they were even going to show the face/what face they were going to show.

edit:
On the face through helmet thing, for all we know what we see is a mask (like a scuba mask thing) on top of their actual face.

Quarian face reveal should be cool and terrifying like that scene from Predator.

In some way i like this, the faceplate is normal it needs to be a bit cleaned up. and someting that makes a quarian uniek from a other quarian.

Love this concepts. Agreeing well with shape of helmet/visible details (especially Kal'Reegar on 2nd page - lower part of helmet doesn't make room for broad jaw) and at a same time not just "humans with different skin tone".

Things I'd tweaked:

-skin tone :) I don't think lacking pigment and long absense of direct sunrays would give purple. Something yellowish (because it's natural for protheins) - grey (not much physical exersises, sensivity of skin almost not needed, hence poor capillary development in skin) or greyish-yellow for me.

-slightly bigger eyes and narrower nose. Sliiiightly.

-thing on the back of the head. Spikes? What the purpose of it? Most of the time if animal has row of spikes, it's directed "front-rear" of limb, not to the sides.

i would say tenticals in the back as that would fit better.

Don't really think that their heads are elongated they don't really fill the helmet their heads rest in them. Also why are people really all that concerned with making them look reptilian/avian they're closer to mammals hence the breasts and birthing method.

Not bad, not bad really. I think Bioware has already done quarian faces by now, but they may be a lot like what we've seen here. The lack of pigmentation in their skins is one of the first thing I imagined, because of the lack of light exposure at all. They 'll probably go for some birth marks for each face, to make them different though.
But, there is something to these faces. The first ones at least... They look like klingons...

Though it's a nice design, it does not fit wth what we know of the quarian race. The eyes and nose specifically are not what is seen through the visors. Even the male quarians have normal looking noses. Some will say that what we see is a placeholder and I agree with this but, to suddenly have four nostrils, horns on their foreheads or enlongated craniums makes leaving the visor/masks semi-transparent, a pointless feature.
Also, those that believe they should resemble turians due to their dextro chirilaty, do not make sense. If the chirilaty of a race demands a certain look, then why do the salarians, hanar, volus and all the other non-dextro races not resemble humans?
And, if the quarians do turn out to resemble humans, as the asari did, it could be attributed to the protheans playing with DNA 50,000 years ago or more. There is evidence of them studying humanity. Why not the other races as well?
