From the small ( some of the ambient party chatter got cut) to the large (morrigan's restoration patch), what did you find most interesting ?

For example, there's appraently dialogue indicating both Loghain and Alistair were in the party (now that sounds interesting) to being able to sell out morrigan to the templars (how many of us would've dumped morrigan there?) to even Jowan at least doing something positive for a change...

\\Has anyone collected all of these "extras" anywhere?

Modders have restored pretty much all of what you described, except the Loghain/Alistair conversations. (There are videos of them on Youtube though)

The line in the toolset that was most interesting to me was a regular line that I never got in a playthrough--one where hardened Alistair comes right out and says that he wants to be king, that he didn't used to want it, but he's changed. That's a bolder statement than appears anywhere else.

That would have been more interesting...seeing how Alistair and Loghain get along in a party, and exactly how one gets Loghain to join with Alistair agreeing or at least sticking around....

For me, it's Jowan's quest line..in the regular game, jowan is like the "poor schlub" who always does the wrong thing...at first, I just wanted to get rid of hjim, but as time goes on, I just kinda feel sorry for the poor dude...

To find out that he actually does do something GOOD for once if you let him live was nice...

It was a rather small thing, but some of the VO notes for Zevran's dialogue were very interesting to me. The VA was sufficiently convincing that I had no idea some of them were supposed to be lies.

For me, the most interesting thing I discovered was the bugged Denerim gates dialog for Zevran. In fact, I found it so interesting that I dedicated the next 9 months writing (and still do support) a mod that restores FAR more than that :D Really, though, my first mod was fixing that part of the game, and the more I dug, the more I wanted to fix.

In fact, many interesting things in the game are kept out because of bugs.  Being able to ask Sten about the murders if the grand cleric told you about them.  Being able to persuade Zevran/Oghren to let Ruck live.  Many many party banters.  The list goes on.

I used to be able to look at the toolset, and remember the notes for one particular line in the "giving the Warden the earring the second time" conversation being totally different from what I heard in that line.

Neat. Which ones?

Edit: There's also a hilarious line you can get from Alistair as a male Warden in the lamppost conversation that I probably never would have seen in the game before I saw which options to pick to get it. It's all in the delivery.

Yeah...there's a lot of dialogue that makes you go "that's interesting..why did they not use it?

At times, reading/viewing the toolset gives you an entirely new view of characters...Jowan, like I mentioned, is a prime example...

@LT123, in particular where he's talking about the Crow training with the oubliettes and infected wounds and whatnot, then says, "Of course none of that happened to me." Color me naive, but I took him at his word.

That particular dialog, though, is contradicted by his fade dream where you see him being tortured and he refers to it as a bad memory.  Plus he was a slave so you knew he was lying for at least part of what he said.

Yeah, but his Fade dream is of being racked, not of the other things he mentions in that dialogue. Literal engineer is literal.

Now when he hits Sloth and asks, "Where did all those luscious wood nymphs go?", *then* I knew he was lying. :)
