The trailer didn't grab me. Something about this movie is leaving me cold. The Dark Knight made me curious about the possibilities. This trailer just made me cringe. That football field bit in particular was so CGI-tastic. Up to now the Nolan films have been low key in the CGI department. I hope he hasn't fallen into the trap of overusing it.
Wow. I feel almost the exact opposite. Although the CGI could be better for that scene, everything else looked awesome.
I bloody LOVE the way Nolan uses designs in shots and the way he constructs a scene. And the cinematography was gorgeous. I might be eating my words about Hathaway as Catwoman. Her small bit of dialog sounded great, and seems to set up why she's a thief. And the batmobile, and tanks, and the f*cking batmobile hovering! And...I have to go change my shorts.
I love this quote:
"Nolan's trailer says more in just over 2 min. w/out even trying than M.Bay can say in hours while trying his damndest," Charlie Berens, a writer and journalist, tweeted.

Yeah, I like Bane's voice as its not at all how I thought he'd sound, but its a bit muffled so that its hard to tell what he's saying.
As for the trailer, purely as a trailer, I don't think it was as good at TDK's with Ledger but I'm looking forward to it nevertheless. The football scene was pretty goofy looking. I know they used alot of practical effects to have real explosions on the field when they shot that scene, but the CG is pretty over the top when put into Nolan's Batman world.

I understand Bane's voice fine. It sounds kinda creepy to me, but I'll have to hear more dialog to fully judge. One thing I like about Nolan's Batman is he puts the hero in full lighting and pulls it off.

It is supposedly the first six minutes of the film. They are playing it before the IMAX showings of Mission Impossible 3. It was on youtube for a bit, but the WB has been laying the smackdown on it. You might be able to find it somewhere though.
I could understand Bane fine in the trailer, but the six minute opening had some lines that threw me.

I suppose so. Nolan's Batman films are realistic so he probably won't make Bane a superhuman. He'll probably be very smart and just as strong as a wrestler could be.
The flying thing at the end of the trailer really looks sci-fi. Let's just hope there won't be too much CGI as it can ruin a good movie.

Pretty much what Gatlocke said. Nolan's going to make Bane a "smart brute". The plan is to test Batman physically, which no villain has really done to any reasonable stretch so far. That really is Bane's angle. He's going to do the "villain thing", but he's also going to be much more brutal.

Bane's extra-Human strength was from a chemical and may take too much time to cover effectively on-screen in what will probably already be a 2 hour plus Film...it's kind of like what he did with The Joker...putting him in make-up rather than trying to fit the story about how his skin color was changed in his Comic incarnation. It worked well in The Dark Knight and Nolan's style is a bit of Hyper-Realism when it comes to the Trilogy...
I'm looking forward to seeing just how Bane is handled. He was created to be a sort of Anti-Batman, equally as smart and with a tragic childhood but channeling it all into Revenge rather than a quest for Justice.

Would love to see Thanos on the big screen. He survived Odin's onslaught. He wiped out half the universes population and took on almost every Marvel hero and villain + all the upper level cosmic abstracts save Living Tribunal and won (for a little while) with the Infinity Gauntlet. And he repeated the same act and even defeated LT with the Heart of the Infinite. Pure badass

No...I understood him fine as well...I expect he'll come across a lot clearer in the Theaters and on Disc...they picked a particularly quiet, menacing set of lines to set the mood.

If he really believes that he's on crack. I hope the rumors aren't true and you can understand Bane's voice throughout the movie. I also agree with those who think Bale's batvoice is a big mistake on Nolan's part.

Most of the time what he says is understandable, but it's true that there are moments that you have to rewatch just to comprehend what he's saying. I'm talking about the first two movies of course.
Anywho, I wonder if Nolan is trying to give the movie a type of grey morality to it. In one the scenes, Anne Hathaway says, "You're all going to wonder how you thought you could live so large and yet leave so little for the reast of us" or something along those lines. Perhaps Wayne isn't the main reason for Gotham's problems, but he could be apart of it.
