Important characters you'd like to see killed off.

The Crime: A failure a nearly everything he does, he has rapidly become like Wesley Crusher to me...a character I detest yet is hyped by the writers as being incredibly important and generally awesome. Hawke this, Hawke that....fawke that!
The Sentence: Killed by ogre in the first five minutes of Dragon Age III.
Isabela:
The Crime: "I like big boats, I cannot lie?" Really, game? Lame 90s pop culture references? And that's saying nothing of the rest of her dialogue, which made me roll my eyes and go, "Yes, lady, I get it. You have sex. Now be quiet."
The Sentence: Forced to star in the next Pirates of the Caribbean film (rated PG-13)
Leliana:
The Crime: Vapid, frilly, over-pious twit who doesn't have the common courtesy to stay dead.
The Sentence: Killed by the Warden in such a painful, gruesome manner that she'll wish she died for real the first time.

ROFLMAO! Okay, yet again, you made me laugh so hard.
And you're right, Hawke is like Wesley Crusher.

Leliana: I hated the voice, had to mod an extra NPC Ser Gilmore, so I could play the rogue in the group and still have two decent fighters. I did not recruit her after the first time....
Sten: Just ackkkk, child murderer, better left in the damn cage.
Merrill: I think it is just the voice, again...
Anders: I want better death scenes, warrior Hawke and cutting his head off with my sword for starters, and a chance to crispy critter him with a fireball if I'm playing a mage.
The script writer for the romance lines: I mean please, I don't like the whole I am a sl*t lines that f!Hawke gets.
Sister Petrice: Why couldn't I kill this woman....

The Wardens story was brought to an abrupt end by the terse announcement that that was it when Witch Hunt was revealed. Of course we know NOW it was so they could rush release DA2.

Sebastian can go, Anders can... oh wait *giggle*
Merrill.. I don't want her dead, I just don't want to see her again.
Fenris can die at my own hands. I absolutely HATE that character. By the end of the game I was trying to kill most of the DA2 cast off.
As for Origins... Sten can take a fly, Wynn I killed at every opportunity and Zeveran was hit or miss... depending on how I felt at the time.

Sebastian. Pointless character who only served to give Elthina more background.
Which still makes him more relevant than Hawke....
--- --- ---
Any ways here's my list:
Hawke: I personally want her to die, preferably in an incredibly horrific manner. If Bioware announced this was an option in their next game, I'd consider it as a heartfelt apology on their behalf for DAII and likely pre-order it then and there no questions asked.
Anders: Well... I killed him already.
Carver: The one NPC with the decency to tell Hawke to stuff it. He can live if only for that.
Bethany: So full of derp... glad the ogre squished her.
Th Rest of the Companions: Not memorable enough to make me care either way, the only exception being Varric who was pretty cool, and maybe Aveline if only for her dating quests which were fun.

and i'm not talking about a stupid Murder Knife, No.
i want to TORTURE the MotherF***er, he is so annoying, whiny, hipocritical as hell, and just uninteresting and boring.
Hawke
he should die before he kills everybody... of boredom.
Wynne
Don't think i need to say more
Cullen
He is less annoying in Da2, i'll say that, but he still needs to Burn in Hell
Carver
Shut. the hell. up.
you whiny a**hole!
Fenris
Hey!
Look at me! i'm a Broody Final Fantasy reject!!!

It's been awhile since I've looked at the DA2 forums. This post is delectable and the Wesley Crusher parallel is spot-on.

Fenris - I still find it hard to believe Fenris existed in a series like Dragon Age. I don't even care how he dies, nor do I want to see it. Just remove him.

Hawke: I just... really don't want. Ever. Male Hawke is better than female in my opinion, but neither of them are that awesome... If it were up to me Mahariel would march into Kirkwall after finishing up her own DLC, Vigilance in-hand. Then Hawke would die. Painfully. I may be biased. I loved the Warden, whichever origin. Blank stare and all. Even if I didn't, Hawke is too reactive and ineffectual.
Fenris: *sigh* Adding to the one-track mage-hating, he's designed for the romance it seems. He seems to be created with the intent to provoke squee from the people who want to nurse the poor broken slave (woo-hoo submission kink...) into trusting and finding twu wuv. Please... I want to see Wynne beat him to death with a stick before accidentally smacking and killing herself...
Leliana: Y'know... for a zombie she's not looking too bad... Firestorm anyone?
I think I'm okay with most of the other mains. Anders is occasionally amusing still and he has points to use up from his Awakening days. Although as I recall I might have skewered Justice during that game for levelling a sword at The Architect...

Maybe in a future game its revealed that he died in the Deep Roads due to the Taint and he died taking down a few hundred Darkspawn and their broodmothers (I think he could pull off like 200-300 darkspawn, not all in one go of course and maybe he would bring dynamite or some Golems or Dwarves with him)
Maybe its revealed he died of old age, or revealed that he made it back to Ferelden or wherever he went with Morrigan and served/lived with Morrigan until his end.
I want to see the rest of the Qunari leaders die...I don't particularly hate Qunari (as in the whole movement/religion/whatever it is itself) I'm just afraid at how powerful they are and how willing they are to assimilate/take over/spread. Its kind of like the U.S and China...NOT saying that the Chinese are like the Qunari...the Chinese aren't barbaric and they aren't nearly as ready to take over any places and neither do I think they want to (they seem reasonably neutral/peaceful and like any other country) but the possibility is still there and they are fastly growing and theyt DID take over Tibet even if it was like a hundred years ago almost.
EDIT: I was thinking Hawke but he's actually a pretty good character and without a doubt I think they'll expand his character in the next game or future games. I was a little bitter too though that he was a voiced protagonist just as much as the next guy but they did a good job with him and you can still role play him and feel a little bit connected to him.

The only expansion I want to see involving Hawke would be how said character was expanded by four horses pulling in different directions.
If Hawke is the protagonist in the next game I can with out a doubt say I will not buy it. That said, I think Bioware has enough sense to realise the not insignificant amount of hate directed at this character and will try to distance themselves as much as possible from DA2 in the next game. They may keep some of the feautres and art, but I venture they'll likely move away from most of the characters or elements that became iconic of DA2 (such as exploding bodies) in order to win back the alienated portion of the fan base.
DA2's main selling point was that you were getting 'more Dragon Age', most of it's sales were basically leeched off DAO's stellar reputation. Conversely, DA2's reputation is mixed at best and atrocious at worst, one of DA3's potentially strongest selling points will likely be 'how you much Dragon Age 2 you are not getting'.
