But as satisfying as it may sound, that means you still have to deal with his stupid beard and voice at the beginning of the game, and maybe do some side quests for him (probably in the DA2 Cave) before you can get rid of him.Shuma Gorath wrote...
Would love Hawke as Companion - as long as we get to kill him.
Personally I would prefer to see Hawke only as an Easter egg in DA3, for example you could come across his body half eaten by bears in the middle of a forest.

That would work if we got to see in a flashback his gruesome death.

Meanwhile, the Warden would be doing their job (or be dead), not interfering in political matters. And Hawke would be in hiding, perhaps.

No, that wouldn't work. See Hawke would be walking along, about ten bears would parachute down and he'd just use whirlwind to insta-kill them. About six more waves would come and he'd just hack them to pieces (while screaming BUTTON AWESOME).
I think something more fitting would be that as Hawke walks along, a generic assassin just backstabs him and kills him in one go. Then Hawke slumps down, his body drops in to the ground and turns in to a mound of coins and a bag next to it. Generic assassin clicks on it and receives 6 silver and torn trousers.

That made me lol

I don't quite see the Wardens' interest in the Circle/Chantry conflict.
its simple in fact, because the chantry has lost significantly power orlais is in turnmoil and because of the many uprising, assasinations and so on, there´s som many noble men that want to retake ferelden once again and The hero of ferelden is a native and will probably do everything he/she can in order to protect ferelden even if it means going against the duty as a grey warden

If we play the Warden again and Hawke comes back as a companion, I swear I will make sure he never leaves camp.
This.
Even if I would need Hawke for final battle, I won't waste an ounce of time on Hawke. Unless of course I'm forced to.
Exactly how I feel about the Warden. The only way I would feel happy about playing the Warden again is if she could rebel against the order for kidnapping her.
ETA: I want a new protagonist for DA3.

That is a retarded policy and you should feel bad for having it. I can understand protag, maybe even companion, but cameo, really?

But yeah, Hawke is here to stay it seems... I think the folks at Bioware have read more than enough forum complaints to make a few adjustments to Hawke's character, so we'll have a more interactive experience next time around. Well, I hope so, but maybe that's just the optimist in me talking...

We get a better look at the Imperial Chantry (which seems much more chill than all the others); we can expose the Chantry of Andraste's political maneuvers in more light (the entire making a pact with the Qunari) and we'd get to see legitimate misuse of magic, as opposed to reasonable people doing completely insane things.

You haven't bought or even played DA2 from what I gather so how can you say that?Deadmac wrote...

I hope there is an option to play Hawke, the Warden or an entirely new character. Probably won't happen but I can dream.

In fact, I'd wager that they kill off the Warden at some point in DA3, but that's just the pessimist in me talking. Let's hope that isn't the case.
I'm not in favor of the Warden's Return, but if they dare killing my Mahariel / Surana / Tabris / Cousland without my saying so, I'll be very, very displeased, especially if it happens off screen.

I don't get why people seem to think Hawke will be back for DA3. I have seen no indication of this anywhere. A brand new protagonist is more likely, IMO.

Hawke will appear in the game or be referenced, with the Warden, to the storyline the both of them and a third hero are tied into regarding their connection to Flemeth.
That is at least, by the Maker, what I am hoping.
