An extremely capable and all-powerful person completely above the law able to do anything and everything that person wants to? Able to win any fights and know everything there is about anything important? Pretty much a small god in a human. I wouldn't.

If the Reapers where after us? Yep, sure. I want to live, Shep can deal with reapers - we don't have Shep, we don't get to live. I like living

No - Shepard is a man of extreme violence.
That's okay IF there's an uber-villain like the Reapers.

And if there aren't Reapers to keep a mini-god busy from running around loose?

As long as they were kept well away from positions of power and influence? Sure.

I'm sure someone charasmatic like that will find a way to power. A super version of Napoleon?

We already have people like Shepard working in the military for the government, above the government. You just haven't heard of them because then they'd have to kill you.

Only if I was Shepard's LI!

@Cephalopods - and I wouldn't trust those people ever either. Save your breath about them keeping me safe.

With adept powers and all? Possibly, even without the power my shep was a pretty decent guy the only bad part would be that he's a 'greater good' kind of person. That doesn't always do well in this world.

If it was Shepard, yeah...I've been around Shep long enough in these past years to know that even when renegade, he is the kinda guy i want on my side in a firefight and a heck of a leader too, fighting for the common good. If it was SOMEONE "LIKE" Shepard then i would think twice as i do not know the person's moral fiber or loyalty for when the (explative) hits the fan

No not really Shepard is still just a worker for Alliance so he would do anything they say and really the question of war is always "Who is the good guy?". Someone may think the people Shepard kill deserve a chance and some may think they don't. Also things explode around Shepard!
Personally I would feel safe if people like Ezio (Assassin's Creed) or Batman existed.

Frankly, I wouldn't want to exist in a world with action heroes at all. Can you imagine how awful it would've been to be at that mall during the end (I think) of True Lies? I'd rather not be the store clerk at the shop that Shepard decides sells things at too high a price. "HEY EVERYONE, THIS STORE DISCRIMINATES AGAINST THE POOR!"
The only thing worse than living in a world like that would be one where superheroes and villains exist. Just think, you're hanging out, minding your own business at the food court in the local mall, when suddenly a girl in a yellow raincoat runs out throwing fireworks from her hands at a giant purple robot that's presumably killing people with each step. Then a weather witch and a southern superwoman fly out and cause EVEN MORE destruction to stop it. Taxes would be astronomical!
The funniest thing about this is that you're saying "Hey, he isn't all powerful! He died once. Then returned from the grave to destroy an unstoppable race of sentient superrobots that conduct twisted experiments on the organic life they harvest."

Well, I'm sure you'd be in the slammer if you try to be just like Shep. Or face down in a ditch for getting on the wrong person's bad side.

I know lots of people like Shepard. In all his incarnations. Shepard's malleable that way.

@Grunk - or ones where Voldemorts and Saurons exist. Seriously - people are delusional if they think these worlds would be 'wonderful' to live in.

That would depend on the reporter. I don't see Emily Wong ambushing Shepard with loaded questions while walking around in the Wards. But yes, being an ambush reporter could be a bad thing with Shepard around.Herbert West wrote...
