Hi,

I'm a GNU/Linux user and, seeing my olds NWN1 CDs (original edition and both addons), I wanted to play this game again but, http://nwn.bioware.com/ do not exist anymore and bioware never reposted patches links anywhere

So if a moderator can repost ALL patches links for GNU/Linux users (not only english patches but french, german, spanish too) it could be great.

In this case, except for a level of admin control on these forums, moderators are just end-users like you and I with no special influence on Bioware or their services.

The only thing I can suggest is to use a Windows emulator and install the standard English patch.  There are direct download links for the criticial rebuilds of the 3 common versions  here but I have not seen any of the patches for Mac, Linux or the foreign language versions yet.  (There are foreign language tlk files links in that same thread, BTW).

You may get a better response by posting this same question in the General forum since that is where most all discussions of this topic have been appearing.

Had I been placed in the same predicament, I would be forced to contact EA/Bioware to either furnish me the direct download links I needed or else email me with the patch file I need.  Right now, there really is no support for this game other than the amount the community has been providing so should you be able to procure what is needed, please post your results here so other members can benefit from your efforts.

English patch 1.69 for NWN with HotU
English patch 1.69 for NWN with SoU
English patch 1.69 for plain NWN

German patch 1.68 for NWN with HotU
German patch 1.68 for NWN with SoU

French patch 1.68 for NWN with HotU

Linux client Files for plain NWN 1.29

Linux client files for 1.62 international

German resource files for V1.29

With this you should be able to download all you need. The 1.69 patch never got released for languages other than English, so you will have to go with the English patch for 1.69 which works flawlessly with the Linux client. Then download the community provided 1.69 dialog.tlk French version or German version and replace the English version provided by the 1.69 patch - et voilà!

This a nice list, Skildron.  It should reside in a sticky in the General forum so neophytes and reading-challenged players will immediately notice it (or maybe just sticky this one).

Do Mac users apply the same patches with a Win emulator or are there separate patches for those folks?

There are versions especially for the mac because the mac executables are different from the Linux and Windows versions. Of course, there is always the possibility to install with a kind of Windows emulator on the Mac. I don't know much about Macs, though.
