I am sorry, but I do not believe that. I myself would do horrible things for a cause I believed in. Minutes later I'd go back to my normal self like I never di anything. For me, remorse is abstract, just like it is for my Shepard.

Easy talking from the comfort of your desk chair. I would like to see you reconsider this after the sh*t REALLY hits the fan in real-life, if that's ever going to happen in real-life.
Trust me, it's easy to THINK you'll do this, or you'll do that with no problem, but REALITY shows that war CHANGES humans.
Ask any random war-veteran, they'll tell you how real-life war is NOTHING like a video-game when it comes to making difficult decisions.

unlike paragon favoritism as one risks tons of ships to save the DA in hopes your remaining ships can take out the UNKOWN super-powered ship summoning the apocalypse.... honestly I think the paragon's got a handwave and the reaper invasion was put on hold.... tactically saving the council in the midst of reaper invasion would be the thing BELOW stopping Sov from ending the universe.... Argueably they could have put a game over the screen if chosen paragon and have it make sense.

You underestimate the infintie possibilities of cruelty, heartlessness, and cynical behaviours of humans.
Well there is a comic book thing to cover that part. Also BW said that older players will have some advantage.TheTWF wrote...
I don't think it'll matter really, since, as we all know, ME3 will be the best entry point for new players in the series and thus they can't alienate those players by giving story benefits to those who played the previous games!

Most humans can't simply toss that morality aside and pick it back up a moment later.

No I do not. I in fact realize that such behavior is a RESULT of losing your morality because of being exposed to traumatised situations. Humans who act cruel and heartless often do so as an act of DESPERATION.
Humans don't just do something extremely cruel at one moment, and get back to their daily business a moment later. Humans who CAN do that are either extremely cold or they're crazy and need to be locked up in an asylum.
We're pack-animals with a moral compass. We're born with a moral-compas and moral standards. When we grow up we are taught the values of morality. Most humans can't simply toss that morality aside and pick it back up a moment later.

Not my fault! Im not God, I didn't make the human race. Wanna blame someone? Blame yourself, because nobody else is.

Yes, the VAST MAJORITY. Unless you're a trained soldier, a war-veteran or a trained commando unit, I'm pretty damn sure you're part of that majority.

Personally I couldn't care less about the Council either but knowing this was going to be a 3 part game, I saved the DA for a future fight. Saving the Council too is just a nasty side-effect but as it turns out, the new Council is no better anyways if you let the old one die so....
