You said it yourself. MOST.

Yes, the VAST MAJORITY. Unless you're a trained soldier, a war-veteran or a trained commando unit, I'm pretty damn sure you're part of that majority.

And thats why I think that the military trains psychopaths instead of the so called "defenders", at least they could train soldiers to be problem solvers not just killing machines with zero free will.

You made a big step by admitting your condition, the next step is to search for help ;)

I save the council so the rest of the galaxy won't think humans are all douches.  Plus it'll probably be easier to unite the galaxy faster in me3.

The others are mentally sick, like you clearly showed to us.

Nah he's not mentally sick. He's just acting all cool and though on the internet. We both know that if he would have have to make a decision similar to Shepard's decision in real-life, he would cry for mommy, he would be clueless and pray for an answer or for someone to help him. He would not have the balls to make a decision, even though he claims he does. But that's okay. most of us don't have the balls to deal with traumatizing situations in real-life that would traumatize the most of us.

Well I don't know much about the army but I do kow that Navy Seals and Commando's are trained to be problem-solvers. They're not only trained to kill, they're also trained to deal with situations that requires negotiation skills.

The most positives that the game presents have come from the Paragon choice of saving the council.

This thread isn't going to solve anything, people who save the Council do it because they think it's the right thing to do, the people you let them die also think they did the right thing. There's a quote about this sort of thing that I like, though I've forgotten the exact words so I'll look it up later...

Personally, I save the council. Sovereign had just blown past a DN and over 20 CA's without even firing a shot (and ramming one CA)...I couldn't see how less than a dozen human CA's could make any appreciable difference except by saving the Destiny Ascension.

I'd probably be tense, at most.

Yes, I know, but on internet you never know who is behind the monitor, so I always speak with sarcasm... in that way if he is really sick, he will understand ( better for him and for all of us ), if he´s not he will feel offended ( I'll have to ask for forgiveness ) or he will catch the sarcasm as a joke.

You don't know how many causalties your reinforcements will sustain... the fact that they only lost that many lives is because of how Bioware wrote the consequences out.

That said, you're right in that everyone felt they made their decision for a justified reason.

.I dont like politicians.

In a democratic system, there should be no problem replacing government leaders be electing others.
So I prefer to attack the real threat sovereign. The council just should have listened to be. They can die.

that doesn't mean it's not a good debate topic.

I save the counsel because it's better for morale, they're on the way, reignforcements, and Sovereign doesn't have control of the citadel

Shepard: I can still stop Sovereign form gaining control.

or something that paraphrases that

Even if that justified reason is wrong. Mass Effect is great as giving out indirect consequences.

Okay so explain me.

Shepard tryed to prevent the council from the reaper threat, they told him to go f*** himself.
Why should he save their asses, sending poor human soldiers who will have to face the consequences of the council stupidity?

I'm pro-galactic council AND paragon, but the decision to save the council is dumb as f***.
