Wow, forced to kill a kid in game just because I didn't want a mage in my group.

I think the only way you can save the circle is to have Wynne in your party. You either agree to help her (and then you MUST take her) or you tell her that you won't help the circle.

I'm pretty sure you can go ahead and kill Wynne and still side with mages since the decision is done after Uldred is dead, in conversation with Gregoir & Irving.

I found it an easy decision.

I had to defend the village, hear about people losing their families, see the militia I was fighting alongside die and then fight my way into the castle. I could end it immediately by killing one kid.

I also did not like the selfish attitude of Isolde. So many of the villagers are dead and at threat. And all she is worried about is her own kid.

Maybe the begging scene was written to allow people to feel sympathy towards her or disgust at her lack of concern for everyone else.

What, Bioware came to your house and forced you to murder a child at gunpoint?

That's truly shocking! You should probably inform the police.

... What do you mean he didn't mean literally?

So you were forced to in a game? Well, that's not nearly as bad, it's a game, if you dont like sensitive fantasy content go play Cooking Mama... Or something

You know, if you're hell bent on tackling a demon, but you DON'T want magic support...

Well, you have no right to complain about the less-than-stellar outcome.

Chantry schmantry. Where's your Maker now?

To OP:

You're the one that sided with the Templars and killed both Wynne and the Blood mage leaving yourself no way to enter the fade and contend with the Demon? If you were playing your character who seems to be very opposed to magic, you would recognize the boy as an abomination that must be dealt with accordingly.

Deal with the consequences of your decision.

I love wynne in the party. I can offtank with my main warrior while i run around with my rogue and dps all the adds. Guess it depends on what you want in the game.

...If you do kill Wynne, what happens to the apprentices hanging around there with her (and the other three mages)? How do they survive if Wynne gets killed?

I was forced to kill a boy in game because I didn't want wynne (a healer) in my party. The only other option was to kill Wynne.   There is no way I'm replacing alistair, my dog, leilana with a stupid mage.

And I didn't want any help from a blood mage because it goes against the Chantry.

So now I had to kill some kid in game.

Not much of a choice lol.  GG bioware.

you could have gone to the Circle for help.

They do not. You're killing everyone.

Then doesn't that mean that the OP has already killed kids in game because they didn't want a mage in their group?  What's one more kid for the standings?

I mean, that'sa cruel way to look at it: but I don't see what's the fuss at why one should be able to save Conner when the young apprentices already were killed by them.

How do you even go about killing everyone in the circle? This option obviously didnt appeal to me. So I'm curious. Do you just tell Gregoir "Ok burn everything" or do you basically do the same quest "Save Cullen" and side with him to destroy everything?
