When I've watched and read new tidbits about ME3, I've always viewed it in the eyes of a designer. The Atlas made me analyse the art, while I've been wondering how the game mechanics will change the game exactly in the mindset of a game designer as I read and watched videos, etc...

But today, reading interviews with voice actors and seeing Jennifer Hale's name pop on screen while I had The End Run streaming through my speakers, I had a revelation. It was like I was taken back in time to witness the first time I witnessed that epic scene, and my heart sped up substantially. That's when I realised I shouldn't just look at all the new info with the eyes of a critic or a designer, rather I should allow myself to fangirl all out. Cause I love this series, I love it bad and fangirling is something I usually do really, really well.

So why not fangirl hard!? What have I been doing?! It's not just new features for our left brains to digest, our right brains will get to embark on an epic adventure with Commander freaking Shepard this March! Anyone else know the kind of mindset trap I've been in and gotten out of it? Perhaps I could help you reach out of your bubble, yourself?

And most of all, who's up for cranking the fangirling/boying up to 11? :o

I've been the biggest fanboy ever since I first saw... Well, the main menu of ME1. Also, there is no escape from this fandom.

 BioWare has been using indoctrination!!!!! ...Cool! :innocent:

I must admit I took a bit longer than that. I wasn't very open to the idea of a shooter/rpg hybrid. But then the character creation process popped in with that awesome atmosphere to it, and yeah...... :wizard:

I have to say I've probably played ME more than any other game. It struck me as something special when I first played it and I kept coming back to relive the story. Whenever I was having a crappy day I'd just load up Mass Effect and enjoy.

Now it's time to finish the story, super hyped about it, but I'll be sad to say bye to Shepard. I'll have to schedule ME1-ME2-ME3 marathons regularly.

Total fanboy(indoctrinated.) :D

I'm on the indoctrinated list as well. Have been a fan of ME since it first came out and am greatly looking forward to the third installment of the story.

Ultimately, the design and gameplay, as much as they may change it, arent the biggest factor to me. The biggest factor is the story. Simple as that. The tale of Command Freaking Shepard, lol. Unless they go and change it into... idk, a puzzle game or something... Not much is going to put me off ME3. :D

I have fallen super hard for this game series. I still don't like ME1, mainly because I played ME2 before I played the original. I borrowed my friend's copy of ME2 once he beat it after it came out. And I was hooked right there. I gave it back to him, hopped on Amazon, and bought both ME1 and ME2. Played through ME1 4 times to get my bases covered for ME2, and I have beaten ME2 8 times thus far, working on my 9th as we speak.

I so can't freakin wait for ME3. Going to be the longest 8 months of my life...

i would prefer to continue analyzing the game first and making judgments on what we currently know about it. fan...personing can wait and i usually reserve it for other franchises anyway like fallout or namco's tales. :?

I just wish it was a better shooter/rpg hybrid like Deus Ex. That was great.

If only Shepard had the Point of View gun.

I'm not fan about anyting, but Biowares Mass Effect is really well done serie. I enjoy Shepards story and very cinematic way to play this game.

Not only is this a new game it's the finale to this story.

The only other games I'm awaiting right now are Skyrim and Batman: Arkham City. ME3's way more important to me than those two games.

The only other games that could possibly compare to the amount of time I've spent playing this series is WoW and Hearts of Iron II. I've had the fanboying maxed out to the max pretty much since I finished the first game.

I've never really been a 'Fan' of anything before... it's quite strange, especially since I'm quite old. It's been developing since ME1... I didn't realize at first, traded in ME1 after two playthroughs only to find I had to buy it again a couple of months later to play again. Then I lent it to a friend, and a couple of months later downloaded it ...needed to play! After full on ME2 addiction I treated my 'problem' with a dose of Dragon Age Origins (fight fire with fire :D)...didn't work.
I've now become comfortable with my fangirlism...it's fun and running at full throttle!

I definitely know what you mean. Trust me, I'll analyze the crap out of all the new info leading up to release, but once I have my copy of the game in-hand, all that goes out the window and the fanboy meter goes up to 11.5.

This is more my style also.  The first time they mentioned it I was less than thrilled.  They wouldn't say if I could play female and it looked like a shooter.  But Chris kept reassuring us that we would like it so I decided to trust in my history with them and give it a try.  Pre ordered and have been pre-ordering every sense.

I'm still playing both ME1 and ME2 so yes, I'd say I'm a strong fan.  I'm looking forward to ME3 with high hope, a little fear and a bit of sadness.  I like all of my Shepards, Sam, Kate, Mark, Sophie............  and I like all of the characters they have given me to enjoy, even Conrad.  :)

I've been indoctrinated ever since I saw that first demo for ME 1 back in 2006.

It's come a long way
