Something that made me go "Huh?" was the fact that Bioware talked big about how they fixed the skin tones in Dragon Age 2 pre release, at yet still screwed it up come the actual game release. My character looks like 2 entirely different people in daytime and at night. . .skin tone doesn't work that way.
Did they even ever fix the fact Darktown at night is still daytime at the location yet?
Removal of the Isometric Camera there is no excuse for the removal of this, unless that they wanted to hide the hideous Wave System. speaking of that...
The Wave System Horrible, Horrible, Horrible.
DX11 Why was this included? it doesn't do anything, or maybe it does but it's REALLY hard to notice. Re-Used Maps Do i need to say anything else?
The...."Art" Design it's so....Squared? so weird, the colors look washed out and not vibrant enough, and some of thhe character re-designes are just...Ugh. the elves look.....well, ugly. And the DarkSpawn....oh my god, they look RETARDED, and they don't even look menacing anymore, they just look a silly obstacule.
The Look of the UI it's mostly the same as DAO(mostly, not all), but it just looks HORRIBLE.
The Ridiculous Combat the combat itself it's alright, but why the hell did it needed to be this over-the-top and ridiculous?
there are other stuff, but these are the big ones. specially the "Art Design", UI and Combat, if they stay the same, i'll just read the wiki telling the story (i'm still interested in it) until something else arrives, cause i'm not getting DA3.

Wait wait WAIT. This isn't true. It lowers your FPS by about 10. That's something.... isn't it? lol
Anyway...

It just doesn't work on consoles. You're giving them point & click combat without a mouse (which is really ****). I don't see why the PC can't get a true detachable camera for AoEs, though.
Forgive my ignorance, as I've never played with an Xbox or a PS3 but... is it really so hard to add a "zoom out" option in the radial menu?
Has anyone watched this recently? Completely forgot about it lol...
Seriously, Bioware, if this is your line of thinking and not just this guy being apparently the worst marketing directer ever... Stop making games IMO....
I mean, paraphrasing...
"In Origins, there wasn't any constistency in graphics. Brecilian Forest was lush and detailed, Deep Roads were dark and brown, completely different... Could've been 30 completely different games. So in Dragon Age 2 .... Everything's the same color."
Really?
Seriously?????
Cos otherwise, we, the fans and buyers and customers, might get confused and our heads might not comprehend the awesomeness.
Anyway, my most WTF moment:
- taking a hugely popular franchise, COMPLETELY re-doing it for no apparent reason but maybe to try and appeal to the COD crowd... and subsequently alienating a huge number of your core fans you got big on and failing to draw in the COD crowd.... and hurting your sales. A lot. Basically, the whole direction they took from the start was a complete headscratcher to me.
The only things that I wondered why they did were the reused environments and the ability not to equip your party.
Also some of you really need to back off this "sky is falling" mentality. This thread has a pretty good topic. We don't need you guys turning it into another COD CROWD BIOWARE HATES ITS FANS AWSUM BUTTIN TW2 wankfest.
Only talking to the companions a couple times a year, and then only talking about their hang ups.
"Yes Fenris I understand you hate Mages but tell me more about Tevinter, Your time with the Qunari, what you think of the dalish vs the alienage elves, etc."
The same applies for the other characters as well. Every time I got to ask questions it felt like I was being given glimpses of a story that could have been.
OH and the weapon swap feature! I loved playing a rogue ina origins and swapping between my bow and my duel weilded swords, but for some reason I can't swap and I can't duel wield swords.
<_<

Out of EVERYTHING in DA2, the ONE thing that I was pretty upset about was the utter lack of character interaction. Disregarding everything else that is the one thing I hope is put back to normal. I mean..really? I can only talk to these guys when you give me quests for them? In DA:O it was way better, the relationships felt a lot more realistic and it gave you a greater connection to the characters. Overall there was just better immersion, and that was really the one thing that stood out to me as being the most upsetting and strange. I had to read Codex Entries to know what my companions had been up to over the past 3 years, since I only got to talk to them like..2 times and generally when they wanted something from me *cough* companion quests *cough*
The romances were so much more shallow since you rarely got to talk to your LI and they are all basically on the same timetable "ok, we flirt in act 1...ACT 2 I SEE IF YOU WANT ME TO SEX YOU!" Like..thanks...?
The removal of both the ability to quickswap/alternate weapons and the ability to customize your companions' armor. Also, I feel that In general the weapon system in DA2 was very restrictive. I missed my dual wielding warrior who could switch to bow and arrow.I loved these feaures in DAO and I thought for sure they would be back in DA2 because nothing was wrong with them. They were good options to have.
Gotta agree about lack of character interaction as well. When I played Awakening, I missed the ability to talk to characters whenever I wished, but I figured that since it was an expansion, maybe they wanted to scale that feature back somewhat. I was surprised to see the same restrictive interaction in DA2 though. While I think a lot of the scenes Hawke could have with characters were interesting, there were so few times they could talk to one another.
I just realized... that the companions come to Hawke's house to speak to his/her dog more than they do him/her. I think Aveline and Isabela are the only ones who come to speak to Hawke instead of his/her dog.
-(When it was announced) A voiced PC
-The combat (I felt really silly turning lowly robbers into pulp.)
-The day/night toggle
-Kirkwall (After I realized the city wouldn't be "one of many locations.")
-Being unable to talk to companions unless it was plot/romance-related.
-Being unable to equip party members.
-Lack of origins. This is what made the series stand out in the first place. Really, really missed it.
- Lack of item descriptions outside the codex. If they were to be hidden away in the codex, at the very least give me a button shortcut to get to that description from when I'm highlighting the item... navigating all those menus is a hassle for something that should be straight-forward
- Lack of "compare" button when looting, meaning you have to go into the inventory screen every time you pick something up to check out if it's better than what you've got already (especially since there is no star rating on the loot screen either). Believe this is a console-only issue though, believe the PC gamers get a compare button
- No way to equip all characters regardless of who was in your party anywhere in the game, this makes equipment hassling way less of a hassle ;D So it should've been in the game

Yep, was a huge let down for me. Romance seems to include couple of heart guided flirts and a quicky.

Don´t forget, that you get a statue to your mansion. Sometimes it thinks that Sandal is staring at it. That is huge bonus.
The only thing that really bothered me was bringing back characters unnecessarily. I detest cameo appearances and there was no reason to have Anders as a party NPC as opposed to a new mage. It made it feel like there were 10 important people in the world and everyone else is just "some guy". If they want to bring back characters who are set up as recurring characters, fine. That'll give series continuity. But Anders?
Oh, and the fact that people couldn't tell I was a mage. That was quite jarring.
But most of the complaints didn't bother me. I actually kind of liked the recycled areas--it meant I knew where to look for the hidden goodies. I liked the companion armor. I didn't really care much that my mage couldn't wield a sword or a bow. I liked the companion interaction system--I didn't spend huge amounts of time going around the party camp to see whether anybody had anything new to say yet. I would have liked MORE of it, sure, but I always want more of anything I like. There's going to be a finite amount regardless.
