I realize there's no canon:wizard:
I'm just asking for opinions on which romance seems the most natural choice for Female Hawke since I'm planning a video project featuring her.

None of them, really. At least not for a sane Hawke with a measurable IQ. I mean, Anders is insane, Fenris whines, Merrill is stupid, and Isabela has STDs

Whichever makes the most sense to the player, obviously. I could say Merrill simply because I liked her the most, but different folks have different strokes..

Depends on the class/opinions/personality/sexual identity of the Hawke. As well as whether you want a friendly or a rivalry romance.

don't know, probably Anders, which is one of the reasons i never played Female Hawke.
F**k Anders.
they also marketed Isabela a lot, so maybe is Isabela?
she could teach Hawke how to NOT get back problems...

Truth.

But if you really want to go for one of the romances, just pick the one that annoys you the least and fits with your character concept.

Isabela. The development of the relationship and the subsequent character development was done rather well. And as far as a video project goes, Isabela has some great facial expressions - very emotive, that pirate.

On the topic of STDs, because people seem so fixated on it, I will say this - just because Isabela talks about her lovers, doesn't mean she has any more or any less than the other characters (she is just more vocal about it). Just because passer-by at the Docks make snide remarks doesn't mean that they are anything more than rumor or bashing. And just because Isabela makes a remark in Anders' clinic doesn't mean that she has had anything other than a one time bout of an itch. Posted Image     She should be fine now with the magical healing.

(Edited for spacing issues)

Nope. Isabella is what Zevran was to Origins. Except with out the interesting background. And diseased.
She could have had something like gonorrhea and had it cured and just never learned.

If they would have given us the choice of Cullen or Varric, I would suggest one of those two. But as for making more sense, it would depend on your Hawke(class). Can you imagine Cullen the templar in a forbidden romance with an apostate? I'd go for that.

But... Isabela would have to be the least. There may be healers in Thedas, but there's some things I'm not touching. I would say... maybe Fenris or Merrill. I don't like any of them, but I could tolerate these two.

We kind of got screwed this game, in my opinion.

If your Hawke is not a mage, then Fenris makes sense. Isabela makes sense, initially, under almost all circumstances (her taking off with the Qunari whatsit could result in a re-evaluation depending upon your character). If your character is a mage, then Anders makes sense. I like Merrill. Merrill's romance make enormous sense as a rivalmance.

I'm the opposite with Merrill. I feel a friendship romance is best for her because she gets the support she needs and she learns that she can't be obsessed wholeheartedly with the mirror. It becomes a project she's devoted to instead of an obsession, as what means more to her isn't saving the clan. It isn't Marethari. It's Hawke.

This is honestly the first RPG game with romances where I would never persue one. As much as I love romances in games like this there is just no one normal enough to be considered. As stated above they all have major (not minor) issues.

For your movie thing I would just not have one. Besides you definately want to skip the scene of the PC and Merril lying in bed together anyway. That's about the most gross thing I've seen in a game in a long time.

They did that scene poorly. More than poorly really. They just made her look horrible, and I don't know why when they could've made it not be horrible

thankfully, when she stands up all is right with the world again. That scene makes it seem like having a long neck is a bad thing. It isn't, as I have a fairly long neck and I do just fine.
