Okay, this may be a dumb question, but there's some phrase that they use more than once in the game that for the life of me I don't know what it means or even exactly what they say. It sounds like they say "b*tch bawn" but I'm not sure what that means..... Javaris says it at one point and so does Aveline if you take her with you when Isabela takes off with the relic, she says something like: "She took it! That b*tch bawn(?) wh*re!" What in the world does it mean? 0_0

I think it's "b*tch-born." Aveline says "bi*tch-born wh*re" at the end of Act II. Seems that Javaris just didn't finish his curse - whatever it would going to become.

99% sure the subtitles back up that theory. It's probably a Ferelden-aimed slur. They're also called 'dog lords' remember, for their fondness of mabari.

I just figured it was a more colorful way of phrasing "son of a..." Less anachronistic-sounding, perhaps.

Definitely "****-born". I know because it's my favourite fictional insult ever. Basically, same as saying 'son of a ****'. But I think the Thedas version just has so much more oomph to it.

More gender neutral.  "daughter of a ****" doesn't really work.
