Hi folks,
First time I've posted here I think... I'm greatly enjoying Mass Effect 1 and 2. This is the first time I've had a real buzz from a game since Neverwinter Nights 1. Great stuff.
So I bought all the DLCs and stuff... and I'm just wondering if it's worth getting Legion in your party before doing the Overlord DLC, considering that there is a Geth sort of storyline throughout. ...?
ANd I guess a second question is, do any of your companions say anything during DLC quests? I've brought Tali along for all my extra adventures and so far she's been remarkably quiet throughout them. I wonder if they just didn't bother with getting extra recorded material for these extra episodes...
Anyway, thank you in advance...
Worth getting Legion before Overlord?

You get an extra line of dialogue if you take legion with you on the overlord mission though not from legion himself. From a gameplay perpsective he's a good character to take because of his ai hacking which you'll find very useful throughtout the overlord dlc.
Character dialogue was a real let down throughout the dlc of me2. I understand the practical considerations of getting the the voice actors back to re-record 5 mins of dialogue but it would be nice if they improve this for me3 dlc.

Thanks for your reply. I might just keep going with it then and reload and check out that line some time later
I'm really enjoying the game by the way. I waited a long time after they were released to check them out. They are really superb. Reminds me of the good old Startrek Next Generation, with depth of cultures and races, etc. Loving it.

oh my... i just finished Overlord. Poor poor kid.
... I assumed as much, but still...
The episode was so well told I fell for the story in the end.
Poor poor kid.

I like overlord probably least out of all the dlc because i'm not a fan of the hammerhead. That said, it's still fun and has a good if slightly disturbing story. Have you played the Shadow broker mission yet? A lot of people like that one because of the variety in the missions. Slamming or pulling enemies into the sky only to see them vanish off into the clouds is quite satisfying :-)

One note about legion and Overload, on the PC at least he can cause a crash entering the Prometheus base. Don't know why, but having him along will crash the game 50% of the time for me and others who posted in the Tech help section, kinda a known issue that shouldn't be forgotten.

I ended up doing Overlord without Legion. I have a save game before it so I might go back and check it out later, even if it's to see if that bug is on my version too.
I found the hammerhead to be a blast... well at least compared to the previous 6 wheeler thing. Turing side on and driving forward and backwards to avoid shots in ME1 was kind of silly, and that old car used to jack-knife often when it went over rough terrain.
Yep, I just played the Shadow Broker last night. wow... really cool! That whole scene on top of his 'lair' was pretty spectacular. There were times whilst I was playing it when I just stopped and thought, 'wow, this is just a friggin cool location to have a shoot out'.
all and all I've been very impressed and entertained with ME. Brought me almost back to those good old days with Aribeth
