I agree with the scope and range of Leliana's character, she was pretty deep, but so was Zevran and Morrigan. While I think it is a nice idea, I don't want a protagonist made for me, I want the protagonist I make.

Agreed. The last thing I want is to play someone who has a subset of a regular BW protagonist personality. It would severly limit the roleplaying opportunities.

I didn't really like Leliana in DAO so if she were to be the protagonist in DA3 it would be a no buy for me.

Definitely not,

I don't care how deep her character is,I don't care how pivotal she could be to the story. I want to conceptualize my own character, give them the gender I want, the class I want, the appearance I want and then I want to engage in sexy time with her.

I love Leliana, but I want my Warden back or I get to make a character like in Origins. People loved Dragon Age Origins partly because of the "Origins" part. This is an RPG and Leliana is already defined.

I personaly would think this would be a BAD move , what bio ware should have done is something simular to mass effect , not a new protaganist everytime and cirtanly not a previous compainion !

No No No If this was announced for DA3 I would realy consider not buying the game at all Image IPB

I don't think people want to play with an already established character, let alone one who might have been dead because of player choice.

I agree.

And then I guess you would loose the "costumize your character" feature. Which would be a massive fail for me.

And I don´t like Leliana and all the Chantrystuff. no, actually, I like her if I ignore  the Chantry part of her.

While Leliana would deffinitely be a much more interesting character to play as than Hawke. I would rather not go through another set protagonist from Bioware after experiencing Hawke. It might work, but I'm not enthusiastic about another fixed protagonist in the least.

No thanks!!!
She's an established character, having to play her basically takes away the whole role-playing aspect.
Also,a lot of people think she's terrible/killed her in their playthroughs/want to play as a male character at some point/where angry that they could only play as a human in DA2.
==>Lelianna as protagonist would ruin DA3 for most people

Maker, no. For one thing, she makes me want to savage my ears with a fork. For another, I just don't do girly. I could never role-play Leliana as a protagonist, it just isn't in my nature. I do sincerely appreciate the ability to play as a female PC, and would not give that up for anything less than being forced to play as Leliana, but seriously, she's enough to make me want to surrender one of my X chromosones.

Dragon Age, and indeed BioWare games in general, feature the ability to customize your PC. No fixed protagonist. As far as I'm concerned, their two DLCs that featured a fixed protagonist, Leliana's Song and Darkspawn Chronicles, should never have been made. Darkspawn Chronicles was *barely* tolerable, since it presented some heinously tough combat (at least for me). I could not even bring myself to *contemplate* buying Leliana's song. I'd rather play another round of NWN OC. On a Commodore 64. Yes, I know that's impossible. That's kind of the point.

It may work as another DLC, but not as an actual game.

No thank you. I don't want a voiced or fixed protagonist either. I like Lelianna though.

No thanks. I don't find Leliana that interesting to begin with, and after a while, her voice starts to annoy me. Although if she wasn't always talking about the Chantry, that would probably help. Oh, wait...

So, just out of curiosity, would men really want to play as Leliana? I suppose some would be ok with it, but the rest? Yeah, probably not. Unless this game is going in the direction of Tomb Raider, with a female-only protagonist, I don't see it happening.

Please don't get any ideas, BW gods.

I would never want to play as a protaganist I didn't create. Male or Female. I have no problem with playing female characters specifically. So long as I created them.

Leliana fans got a whole DLC and a DA2 cameo. Now she needs to GO AWAY.

Seriously....it would actually work.

Most likely its set an Orlais and involve the Chantry, Leliana could easily be the protagonist as she is the head seeker and from Orlais.

She closes......(spoiler). Her death in DAO is retconned as well.

Leliana has been a protagonist before and it worked.

I would like her to be a companion in it... but I would like for them to keep to the tradition of gender choice for the player character.

Leliana is without a doubt the most annoying character in the series. The only reason she even got party time was because I had no one else to bust locks (during non rogue playthroughs) since Zev was a much better combative. Just no. I'd rather play the little autistic kid from redcliffe that gets possessed than her annoying ***

The only preset they should ever consider at this point is a Qunari

No...no...and no. The writers couldn't keep continuity in her story from Origins to DA2, I definitely don't want to see her in DA3...I don't even want to see my warden in DA3 after the lackluster writing of DA2. Start over with a new protagonist.
