I want to start a new run through of Mass Effect but I'm not too sure what class to use. So far all my characters have been Infiltrators, Soldiers or Adepts but I really want to try something new and up the difficulty.
So, which class would you recommend, Engineer or Vanguard? Or something else?

For ME2 Try vanguard - lots of fun. I suggest you read up on the sticky thread for guides. It is quite different from the others you have tried. I die many more times with vanguard than with any other class, but the playstyle is worth it. When I first tried it I was real careful and did not die much and it took forever to get thru screens. That is why I say look at the sticky guides, you need to be a little reckless to get the best use of the class.

For ME1, you'd be hard pressed to find a class that really feels different from any of those that you've played, though Engineer would probably be the most different.
For ME2, Vanguard would be the most different from the other classes, as the Engineer will feel similar to the Adept, just with tech powers instead of biotics, and Drone replacing Singularity. However, the AI Hacking Engineer can feel very different, offers a challenge, and can be quite rewarding to play.

Vanguard most deff! Its the first class I picked when first playing the game and now it's my favorite class out of them all.
