I choose the right dialoge with the Desire Demon but Blood Mage still won't unlock. Can anyone help with this?

I believe your PC has to be a mage for it to unlock.

I am a mage... I think thats why I am so frustrated. I have searched the internet and I've done all kinds of different options. When I get back to the castle it says the specialization is unlocked but I don't have it in my skills or talents and when I check the achievment for unlocking a specialization it says it's still locked. I don't get it. I've probably done it 10 times now and still don't have it.

You have to level up before you can select it as your specialization.

You can't choose a specialization immediately after unlocking it: only at the level up screen.

Ok. I've leveled up since then because I thought that might be it too. Now do I have to choose the spec? Or will it just happen once I level up? I'm gonna try and go back to a previous save. Thanks... if it still doesn't work I'll be back.

You'll need to put a specialization point on your chosen specialization (you get a point @ levels 7 and 14). You can only do this on the level up screen and only on the specializations you have unlocked. Once you have done this, the talents will become available.

This is done on the attributes screen btw. You'll see the 4 specializations for your class and any you have unlocked. At level 7 and 14, you'll be given a specialization point to spend on a specialization. Your specialization isn't automatially chosen for you, because at level 7/14, you could possibly have 4 to choose from.

If you're certain that you've unlocked the blood mage spec (you'd have asked the desire demon about arcane secrets), just go level up and you should be able to become a blood mage once you select it.

or just buy the book in DAO Awakening in Amerenthine. It will be unlocked for DAO too

Unless you have already picked one specialization, you should have the level 7 spec point unused.

It's level 7 and 14 when you can gain a spec point. You can use that point anytime after lv 7.

Did you level up recently? You should have been able to pick a specialization from the level up screen if you had a specialization unlocked.
