Well, I would suggest a dwarf from DA2, but I don't know if anyone has managed to get Varric out of his Leather Duster.

...yet.

The body of DA2 dwarves is very much unchanged from DAO -- i have Oghren wearing Varric's coat, actually. Image IPB

ah whatheheck, here's Oghren barring it all:

[Naked Oghren removed]

you can see the new genlock making similar pose few posts earlier, for comparison.

Oh god my eyes!

the pose just makes it even funnier. I was expecting a photo of him in his underwear, but this is actually something I'd expect Oghren to do.

EDIT: For da seriouzness:

seems very dwarfy to me.

They have a more squared jaw with a chin rather than just being a rounded sort of thing, they don't have the Homer Simpson protruding mouth

They have it actually and it's similarly rounded. You can see the protrusion on the profile shot of the genlock in the background. I even specifically mentioned it in the earlier post, too Image IPB

(along with the skin colour difference which is the only real visible change imo. I don't count the ears since they're covered by the helmet so you aren't going to see any potential difference about them in the game)

and the mouth is more horizontal than perma-grinning

That's a pure conjecture given the entire (brief) section of the trailer which shows the genlocks has them with mouth wide open. We don't know what it's like when closed.

The new version does have more humanoid teeth. Does that however, combined with the skin colour, really make them more dwarf-like overall when you take into accounts all aspects where the similarity is reduced?

The ears are still part of the design change. I'm counting them even if you're not. And you pointed that out in your post, that's why I said "I'm not seeing what you're seeing." They look different to me.

I'm not counting them because we don't actually know what they're like, given we don't get to see them on the genlocks in the game. For all you and i know, they could remain the way they were. Wouldn't be the first bit of concept art that didn't make the cut.

[snip the picture]
That's the alpha genlock and i'm not sure how similar these are to the base genlocks. The posture, size and seemingly some details of the face shape appear quite different, if nothing else. For that reason i was limiting the comparison to the basic specimens.

It also seems unlikely that long donkey ears would fit into those helmets, but whatever. I'm done arguing this.

DAO genlocks can wear helmets which cover their "donkey ears" without problem, so i wouldn't expect it to suddenly become an issue in the sequel.

Just woke up, ill, check the forums and THIS is the first thing I see?
It strangely made my day.  Thank you! :o

Also, if our poor Wardens have no relation to the new GREY WARDEN related expansion, can we at least have references to naked Oghren?  It'll soften the blow.  For me at least.

Just watched Legacy at Comic Con and...tell mew you'll show more? You showed literally nothing new, just a repeat of the summer showcase.

On the side bar go to profile then click on add bioware points, it then (depending if it says type in p/w) should go to a screen allowing you to buy bioware points, on the rightside of the screen is how many points you currently have.

The main feature is the tactical view in DAO - that is the most noticable. I never played DAO on console, but I haven't really noticed much difference between DA2 on PC and PS3. It should look prettier on your pc, though! (My pc is ancient and so it actually looks worse than consoles, haha). You'll also be able to install fan mods, which actually greatly extended the length of time I was playing DAO, but you'll probably be doing that later.

This is probably a stupid question but at what time do DLCs usually come out? Is it like Midnight/Timezone X or just sometime during the day?

I was asking the same thing, apparently here in the UK it's normally about early afternoon for XBox DLC.  Not sure about other platforms though, wish it was midnight!

Loot in DLC will be affected by character level as always right? So the later you go in, the better gear you get....

Or will the "ultimate weapon" you can get there scale with level as some other DLC items...

Hm......

I still haven't decided to get this though, everytime I start up DA2 I walk around for two seconds and suddenly don't feel like playing it anymore (attempt at a 2nd playthrough) maybe the dlc will make some sense to continue for my first character.... I dunno...

Well I started two new characters (mage lover, templar lover) for this DLC and I froze them just before going to Deep Roads (end of act 1). I need to decide when to enter DLC - new companions? New items scaling by player level?Worth to wait?

Baaaaah... I wish I had some insight on this.

I don't think it matters too much at what point you start the DLC (but the devs did say Act 1 or Act 3 is best).
There will definitely be some cool weapons and perhaps armor, but no new companion.

Anyone have info on the new mage weapon? I'd like to know what type of damage it does and if it improves with level-up.
