Hi, here are my specs
OS: Windows 7 64 bit
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 black edition (3.2 ghz)
GPU: XFX ATI Radeon HD 4890 (used)
RAM: 4gb DDR3 1333mhz kingston (single stick)
MoBo: Biostar A770E3
PSU: 680 watt (no clue about the brand, but it says "gold" in the description
Case: Gigabyte GZ-PH1a3 Blk SGCC ATX
Sound: Onboard realtek 5.1 HD surround sound

Here's my problem: I put this rig together about 2 weeks ago. I got the GPU 1yr used off of ebay. Since I put my PC together whenever I play either ME1 or ME2 after an unspecific period of time (sometime I can play for an entire day, like 12+ hours, sometimes 15 minutes) the game will freeze and the screen turns black either the monitor refreshes itself (and I can keep playing the game without issue, until it freezes again) or the entire computer locks up and I have to hit the reset button. The system log says that the freezes that the computer recovers from are when the driver stops responding (the lock up freeze logs are unintelligable and not referanceable). The game will run for most of the day when I go into the catalyst manager and crank the fan speed to 100%, but after a long day/night of playing it still crashes. This might be a hardware thing or a software thing seeing as the only games I've played are ME1 and ME2. (I have also played Dragon Age: Origins, and Team Fortress 2 but only for 2-3 hour stints).

I have reinstalled all of the drivers, no dice. I think it might be an overheating problem because I've noticed that it crashes more frequently when its hot outside, and cranking the fan speed sortof fixes it. Other than the games the computer works great. Can anyone help?

Temp is easy to check, by getting Speedfan utility over at Cnet and seeing what your temps are when playing.

I assume this is Win7, and as such you will want to stroll over to realtek website and make sure you have the upgraded sound drivers, because the stock ones from win7 stink.

Other things to check are location of your cards and relation of cables and air flow. I managed to drop the temp on my vid card 10 degrees C, by moving another card a slow away, thus improving air flow. You may also want to reseat all your cards and memory to make sure you aren't having an issue from a badly seated connection.
