This isn't the best thread to be asking about fixing stuff, you'll have better luck reading and posting here, there's a link to various DLC issues people are having and possible solutions a bit down the first post. Never had the DLC issues myself so I don't have any experience trying to sort them.

@Serion: The solutions round-up thread is where you want to look for answers, but I will say that the most common cause for that problem is editing the addins.xml file to not require authorization. If you did that, you will likely have issues with WK and with reward items from other DLC not spawning into inventory. The only solution is to re-edit the addins.xml to require authorization again and resolve your authentication issues either with this patch or with one of the solutions listed in the solutions round-up.

There are manual solutions to every problem that the patch fixes linked in the solutions round-up thread pinned to the top of this forum. If you need help with one of the solutions, all you need to do is post your own help thread. No waiting required.

As the patch is fixing only known issues and all of those known issues have manual solutions; if there is no manual fix, this patch also won't fix it. If you need help figuring out how to fix it, post a help thread using the instructions in the read first thread.

I can fix the problem by uninstalling on steam then install via origin then add this patch, BUT i am currently on a mobile broadband with 20kbs speed max and it also costs to use it. So i have to wait for this patch to get on steam. Waiting is required.

What I mean is that the individual problems causing the authorization problems have fixes that DO NOT REQUIRE this patch. The patch is implementing known fixes that are linked in the solutions round-up thread. The patch is the easiest way to fix all the possible issues, but it IS NOT the only way. If you check the solutions round-up thread you will see all of these solutions linked. Some of them are a bit complicated, so should you require assistance, you can post a help thread and someone will be happy to assist you. Point being, you do not need this patch to fix the issue if you are willing to do a bit of work.

I contacted support some time ago, and they came up with only 1 solution: Uninstall DAO on Steam, then download and install via Origin, then add the beta patch.

As I have said repeatedly now, go to the Solutions Round-Up thread pinned to the top of this forum.  It actually has far more solutions than official support seems to have.  If you require help with one of the solutions linked, see the READ FIRST post for posting instructions.

Well i tried all the manual fixes listed but nothing worked. It says this patch only uses those so not sure why it worked when i used it but it did. I did encounter the "slow" everyone was talking about. Makes the game impossible to play in short order. I could kick myself for purchasing Witch Hunt since i had all the d.l.c.'s i had purchased earlier working just fine until i downloaded that one. Once that one dowloaded they all went to trash. Now i can sort of play the game but not really. So much fun.

Yes I am yet another user who got Dragon Age Ultimate Edition (through a friend on Steam) and downloaded and installed the game only to find out all my dlc was unauthorized! Honestly I'm glad I didn't spend a single cent on this game and my friend did and I also researched the problem and found out this has been a problem for about half a year...I'm really disappointed now, please Bioware patch 1.05 through to Steam already, I got this game in excitement (because now I would have all the DLC and this should be ten times more fun considering I bought the original one) and my hopes have really been dashed...thanks a lot.

Once again, you can switch to the EA digital version for free and use the beta patch with it, or use the solutions in the solutions round-up thread to manually fix the problem. They are not going to release the patch u til they figure out what is causing the long loading times. So far they have had no luck with that, though they are still working on it. As they don't k ow what is causing the problem, there is no eta on a full patch.

When will be ready the 1.05 patch? Because after 2 hours playing, the loading time incredible long, and i cannot exit the game(black screen when i push the exit, and i cannot do anything) whitout reset my computer.... and i really want to play with dlc-s. Please i just wanna know.

They do not know. They do not know what is causing the problem and therefore do not have any idea how long it will take to fix it. You can always roll back to 1.04 and use one of the manual DLC fixes in the solutions round-up thread.

I have not tried the game yet, but after buying it two weeks ago (Ultimate edition) and not having DLC authorized, this patch is great. I simply avoided playing the game because I didn't want to start without DLC, not knowing anything about what I'd be missing.

I'll test out loading times when I get around to starting DA.

I purchased the DA: O Ultimate Edition , installed the game and began playing.. I then found out that to continue with the story line I had to use a DLC to proceed. I must have tried to connect with thier servers 30 times for the DLC's , they are always unavailable. I can't believe a company that locks you out of a game you have paid for is going sell itself to the public.

More likely than not, your computer firewall or your router is blocking the necessary ports for the game to connect to the server if you are getting a server unavailable message.  The servers have not been down for any length of time in the last several months.

Unfortunately we haven't been able to track down the root cause of the slowdowns in the patch yet, but everyone is working on it.

Or should we all just try and get our money back for this faulty product?

I had the game on Steam, but I uninstalled it and installed it using EA's Origin program; and I downloaded the patch, and it fixed the "unauthorized error" issue; however, I just made it to where I name my Mabari hound (on the Human Noble storyline), and just after we killed all the rats, the computer crashed and I had to turn it back on.

I haven't read through all seven pages of comments here, so hopefully my question can be answered regardless: is this a common issue and, if so, is there no fix for it yet? It seems useless for me to uninstall it from Steam only to encounter a brand-new error on Origin.
