I have looked at the model and I noticed it shows SR2 on the Normandy. I clearly remember the Normandy was the SR1 from the first game. Is this one of the things that will change? Or am I missing an answer somewhere in the forums?

Thought I read somewhere that this was the Alliance 'rebrand' of the Normandy for ME3, since Shepard and Cerberus appear to have parted ways after the events of ME2.

Not 100% sure of that, however.

I'd say these are based on ME2 and ME3. The Cerberus variant that is in the store now has SR2 since its from ME2 and I would assume that what Valethar said is true for the other. Otherwise it would say SR1.

I suppose that makes since. Now that this has been put forward, can I ask for a replica of the SR1
?

Ok, I found the reference.

If you can get your hands on a copy of the May 2011 issue of Game Informer, (#217) it mentions something about this. There's also a short blurb on the Mass Effect Wiki page for the SR-2.

Oddly enough, the original promo images of the model show an ME2 logo, instead of ME3.
