I have Khalid playing through TotSC as a Bounty Hunter.
I've gotten his "Hide In Shadows" ability up to 100% but, inside or out, when I go to use the ability it's seems only about 60% of the time does it work.
I know the game checks again every round to see if he 'leaves the shadows' but it seems with 100% it should be more dependable than it is.
Any thoughts on what's going on here?
He's wearing +2 Studded Leather armor.

For hiding in shadows the game uses both hide in shadow and move silently. What's your move silently at?
Studded leather reduces hide in shadow and move silently by 20% for each. Also, you need to not be in sight of an enemy. And, if your character isn't standing in a shadow his chances are reduced. Look for shadow graphics on the floor and stand in them.

Wow. Great feedback. Move Silently bites, probably 10% - that must be it.
I DID know not to be in sight of the enemy but didn't know to look for shadows when I click to engage the ability.
I use Khalid in combo with another rogue for scouting ahead of the party. The other rogue checks for traps so it's a tandom operation.
Thanks. Learned something today. CKT

Just to follow up on Windfoot's info:
There will be times when running away and losing an enemy from your line of sight is enough to go invisible. However (I assume you're running Tutu), it still gives some enemies enough idea to follow your footsteps so be careful of that too. It might give you very little space to work on.
And, yes, 100% in both HiS and MS are necessary for nearly-perfect invisibility. To hide in broad daylight with almost no shadow to cover you, about 150% in each is needed.

@ SoS, as with Windfoot you've given me some new insight into the game that I was not aware of.
Great feedback and I thank you.
