Even if the Warden doesn't appear there will probably be references.

Yes, it will turn out (insert antagonist here) sent a maleficar to poison him and the only thing that can save his is the (insert holy artifact here).

You know. I think I've seen that happen before. I wonder where?

We'll have to wait and see with this one, but I'm guessing there's a high probability of seeing your warden mentioned (mentioned, not seen) since both this DLC and DAO are integrated into the main game. Don't give up hope though, since we have more DLC and a possible expansion to go.
Oh I don't know, maybe we saw it in harry snot..err Imean harry poter.

I know that the chances of us seeing the Warden are very low but I still felt I had to ask. Is there any hint that we might see him/her?"

Doubtful. The Warden will probably be like the Nevarine, mentioned but never seen again.

It is mentioned in the letter in the quest The Dark Epiphany, from Avernus addressed to "The Warden-Commander of Ferelden". In the codex entry, before the actual letter begins, it is a note to the messengers carrying it. "Take the first boat from Amaranthine to Kirkwall, then proceed with all haste to Weisshaupt Fortress. If the roads prove too perilous or blocked, our agent in Kirkwall can assist. Find the dead drop located in an alleyway near the Lowtown foundries during daylight hours. Protect the letters at all costs."

Given that the Warden has appeared in 50% of all Dragon Age* games, I'd wager they are as "likely" to appear, as they are not to appear, in any future game....King Killoth wrote...
I don't think your going to ever see your warden again. bioware has basically only made him/her part of lore and will likely never been seen in any future dlc or future games.
*Not counting flash games.

well both games have different engines and design features, plus there are no files from the wardens actual customised face design know to import over into DA2 so the chance of ever seeing the warden ever again is 0%... Unless they hide their face and they dont talk in which case it would suck and people would complain

The note is in two parts. The first is Avernus writing to the Warden Commander at Vigil's Keep to let them know about the results of his research. The second part (the "take the first boat part") are instructions given to the messenger by the Warden Commander on how to deliver Avernus's letter to Weisshaupt in order to keep the First Warden appraised of matters.

I do hope that a reference is made to the Warden though, perhaps one of those Warden's from the trailer could mention him/her like: "We were sent by Warden-Commander Surana to..."

It just seems like any use of "the Warden" is just going to turn him/her into a stock character that's going to act well outside the design we each came up with while playing DA:O. I say just let it stay in the past so it remains uncorrupted.
I don't think bring back the Warden in some way is impossible, but I don't think Bioware would do it in any way that would satisfy me.

But it's probably safe to assume that they won't appear. At least not for a while. Bioware has to figure out some way to incorporate the Warden in the Dragon Age series again safely. If he/she reappeared and wasn't the playable character, then there's the issue of voice. Does the Warden get a voice? Or does the Warden make grunts to speak, much like Saarebas?
Which is why I'm wondering if Bioware is able to track which voice set was chosen for each origin story. The most popular ones should be the ones that become the Warden's voice, as once that set was picked that was how your Warden sounded.
There's a reason why you were given the choice between 6 sets. Which voice fits your Warden? Of course, then that draws the issue of "But I picked this other voice and not that one!"
It's a complex issue I believe.
Alternatively, Bioware could have the Warden reappear when he/she is older, and then give him/her a voice. Then, it can be appropriately called a result of the Warden's age.

I would be nice to see some of the DA:A recruits return for this party.
I agree! I believe it was said that we wouldn't see any female dwarves though, so that may rule out Sigrun

Oh, I didn't mean to make it sound like that
I thought there might be a chance she could show up because they were talking about the Carta Dwarves we'd be fighting.
