PSN Store DLC Warden's Keep not installing properly...

Hey. Apart from the problems in downloading the free DLCs everyone seems to be having, I appear to have suffered another strike of ill fortune. Seeing that the previous didn't work, I downloaded (and paid for) Warden's Keep from the PSN Store. It downloaded fine, and it apparently installed fine too. Thing is... it just doesn't appear in the game.

I tried deleting the installed file because it shows off separately in the Playstation 3 XMB somehow. I could recognize it because of the file size, roughly the same as I had downloaded. Then I downloaded it again from the store as I am entitled to do that multiple times after paying for the content and reinstalled the whole thing to no avail. It still doesn't seem to be active within my game. Doesn't show in the downloaded content section in the menu next to the inventory, etc, and I see no entries in the journal or anything that would indicate it did work.

Is there anyone else suffering from this problem? I can be patient about the free DLC because, well, they are free after all. But this is content I -paid for-. Can someone help please?

PTav when it appears on the xmb have you selected it wih the X button? YOu have to install it from the xmb. It should dissappear from the xmb automattically after installing if its done right. Hope this helps you

Did you have psn store to install the DLC or did you click on the file separately to install after download? Maybe you just need to click to install it?

Mine works, just downloaded it from the psn store and let store install it after download.

Just wanted to post that..

It downloaded and then it appeared in the Game part of the XMB. Then I clicked and it installed, no problem there. Now it appears under the Game Data Utility part of the XMB, above the original Dragon Age install. So yeah, I'm pretty sure I installed it after the download was finished.

The DLC menu on the title screen is completely empty because I'm experiencing the same problem as many other users from within Europe. The DLC menu shows nothing for us. And inside the game it shows nothing.

But i thought That problem was fixed. Everythings meant to be working now except the memory band code. Have you tried refreshing you profile? Turn off the ps3 and log out of the profile site on the PC. Turn on your PS3 again and boot up the game. That might help?

It's not solved for me, apparently. I'll try to refresh the profile now.

if the game is from a different region from the DLC it won't work and it shouldn't be a separate file under "Game Data" so maybe that's your problem? I made the same mistake with Ninja Gaiden Sigma, luckly I bought one of them and it only set me back £2

I see. It is the case. I bought the American version and I've downloaded it from the European PSN store. I guess that's too bad then. Just lost 7 euros.

Is the free content (Shale, Dragon Armor) affected by the same problem? Or only the stuff downloaded through the european store?

er well if you have the NA version then the codes in the box will be for the NA store. I think your codes are wasted now PTav. If you used them on your euro account and there one use only then there linked to that account. You would need to sign up for an NA account to use those codes as there for the NA store but since they already been used, you cant unfortunatly. :(

you saying the game and DLC are different regions yet they still work for you?

and I don't think it dissapears, I think it mergers into the file the game installs

I created an account through the game before I used the codes. Did the game just assume I wanted an european account despite the game (and obviously the codes) being from North America?

Is there any place at all alerting people to this possibility? Was there any way to circumvent this? Because as it seems not only am I know stuck with a couple of useless codes but I'm unable to download any DLC from the european store as well...

What treachery is this?

Sounds if you used an account registred to EU when you launched the game. This could have registered you to EU PSN store. (Just guessing, but could be a reason why?)

What i can recall is if you have a American game you should use American PSN store to download content as it wont work other way. Not sure about game patches but think its the same there?

Also If you buy a game on American PSN store you cant download addons on European PSN store but you must download them from American PSN store.

Hope that helps?

Yeah thats what i meant its just meged with the game install. sorry. My CE and DLC are both the uk version. What im saying is you cnt mix and match ie if you imported the NA version you cant use the codes on the EU psn as they are codes for the NA psn.
Hope thats clearer, sorry for the confusion. Trying to help other people get theirs up and running too. It disappoints me that its working for some and not for others :(

Its not the game that determines the game account its where you live. Europeans are all an the european servers NA on the NA servers etc.
Now cause your game was imported from america (think thats what you, sorry if im wrong) then the codes that you got in the box will only work (je as free DLC) on the america ps store. So for you to get this free DLC you would have had to sign up for an american account to access the american store to access your american DLC (gasps for breath).
Thing is you already typed in the codes once and they 1 use only.

Hopes this sheds some light on the situation. LEt me know yeah

I have a question as well. I haven't played my game yet, but I ordered it from an online store that gave me additional content for download. How do I claim these? I wasn't given any codes in an e-mail message, so are the codes in the box or what?

yes they should be in the box Toronous. Where did you get the game from if you dont mind me asking? if ou imported Im pretty sure the codes wont work on the european servers. YOu would have to create a new PSN account that is the same country as where you got the game from. hope this helps

Okay. First of all, thanks for all the helpful information you've all been giving me.

So, how would can I register an American PSN account? And do you think Bioware will understand my problem if I try to reach them via email? Perhaps give me new codes, or transfer the existent ones to said psn account?

I'm really at a loss of what to do. It wasn't explained anywhere that this situation could happen. I just assumed it would work normally. It's not the first american game I bought. Demon's Souls works pretty fine online and I had no trouble whatsoever accessing the American servers...

they'll understand you predicament but I doubt they'll do anything about it as having an account for a region other than your own goes against PSN T&C, but they should have know that if you have a Region free console people are going to import so why region lock the DLC?

It makes no sense, yes. Everyone who imported the game is probably having the same problem as me. What strikes me as the worse is that there was absolutely no information about the fact that the DLC was region locked. And of course since the games are advertised as Region Free the average consumer would never suspect anything like this. I know I didn't.

Perhaps there is a way for people to maneuver out of this region lock by accessing the ps3 hard drive and changing file paths, since the content itself should be the same (since the game itself is), but it's awfully bothersome...

I was one of the lucky cautious ones, I only wasted 2 quid on a single NGS DLC to find out (imagine if I'd bought all of them),

Would there be a way of getting a refund (perhaps in the form of psn store wallet credits), since we were totally misinformed and there was no warning against it?
