In ME2, if you dont go in time to Suicide mission the crew will die.

1. Are there any smililar situations in ME1?  I know that ther are a bit different dialog with Liara if you wait to go and rescue her on Therum.

2. For an example, do I need to go to Virmire immediately after Council tells me about it?

3. Does it matter when I let Ashley die on Vimire? If I play the mission to early and she dies, will I miss side-mission or other stuff if I dont have her. Are there stuff to need to be done before losing her?

1) I don't how much you've played ME1 so I don't want to spoil anything, but yes there's a mission early in the game on the Citadel involving Tali where if time runs out she dies/game over.  It's the one involving Fist, if you've recruited Tali already.  I think there's a sidequest where you have X amount of time to fight your way through some biotic terrorist who've kidnapped someone.  If you don't he dies.

But there's nothing like what you mentioned from ME2.

2) No, you can go there whenever you want.

3) Doesn't really make a huge difference. You'd miss out on her dialogue during the crew meetings after each major mission, and some squad mate banter on the elevators. I think there's a side quest on the Citadel with an indian gentlemen who's wife fought in the same platoon as Ash. Ash has a bit of dialogue with him, but you can do that side quest without her.

So you aren't going to miss a lot if she dies early.

Have played it before :) So you can tell me what mission it is with the kidnapped person and that one with Fist :)

There's some biotic extremists that kidnapped a human ambassador or other type of political.  You have to fight your way through some goons, but if you don't reach the room of where he's being held apparently they kill him and it's game over/restart for you.  If you get into the room before time expires you'll have a little bit of dialogue/role play where you have several options of how it turns out based on your choices of action/dialogue.  Hackett contacts you about it when you enter that system/cluster.  Don't recall which one it is.  It's not difficult to beat the time, but maybe on hardcore or something it would be a good challenge.  Never tried it on the toughest difficulty.

The one with Fist is where you are early in the game, post Eden Prime and trying to find evidence to convince the Council that Saren is a tratior/rogue.  Go find Garrus, and then go after Fist in Charon's Den.  You then have a limited time to get to the alley where Tali is meeting some of what she thinks are the Shadow Broker's agents, but in truth are Saren's men.  If you don't get to the alley, pretty easy to get there, it's another game over/restart.

There are also a couple of N7 missions where bombs get set, and you have a timer counting down to escape. One is with the Rachni overrun Cerberus space station/cargo vessel, I'm pretty sure there is another one but I can't remember it right now.

And of course, who can forget escaping the overrun Hot Labs in Peak 15 on Noveria.

I think you got me a bit wrong :) I dont mean timebased with timebombs. I mean missions you need to do in time to prevent bad things happening. Just like the Suicide mission in ME2 :)

There's nothing like that in ME1.

I think the closest thing to that is Virmire (helping the assault team by messing with the base defenses). But it isn't time based. I guess it can be considered a time-limit if you just skate past the options - I don't think you can go back and take out the defenses halfway through the mission.

At Peak 15 if you take Cpt. Ventralis' suggestion to find Benezia you end up having to kill Ventralis and the entire squad of guards stationed there. Guess that's more an option though than a time limit.

Hmm... I've never tried ignoring that group of survivors on the way to the Geth base after leaving Zhu's Hope on Feros.

I don't think there's anything like completing a mission within a certain time to prevent something bad in another mission or the over-arching plot though.

If you save Therum for last (Feros, Noveria, Virmire done first) then you get some, shall we say, interesting dialogue from Liara and lose the option to romance her. That's all I can think of though.

Really - you sure about that? I knew about the crazy dialogue though.

Yup; she never tells you that she is interested in you and you never get the chance to start a romance.
