Yeah, the game looks good and runs good too. I've had actually only one crash in many many hours, up to Highland Park, when I tried to cross an AT while sprinting. Other than that, no bug whatsoever. There are minor glitches but they are rare and have nothing to do with gameplay and will absolutely be fixed for the retail version, like few subtitles displaying wrong stuff or from other parallel conversation and not Jensen's.

Only real pain, for me, is that somehow Quick Save stopped working for me at Highland Park so I have to manually save all the time because the game doesn't forgive much. I can't wait to get my hands on the real thing when it's out! Awesome game! Can't stop playing it! heh

PS.: Quick Save started working again at next fase of Highland Park! =)

I had the same quick save bug but besides for that and the long loading times I had very few problems. Considering this is a beta we're talking about, I have few concerns the game is going to be buggy or unpolished. That is unless the developers brains melted after that point in the game.

Videos looks impressive but in game looks awesomely garbage (visually). Gonna wait for release, check and see if the high res textures of the game is acceptable, evaluate the gameplay then decide.

Huh have you been playing the same beta version as everyone else?

Because this is how it looks for me.

That doesn't look to bad for me.

Nice Pics!

The only downside of a pre-release demo, at least when the game is good, is that now I can hardly wait for it to come out! And Archaven, not idea of what you've seen to say "the game looks awesomely garbage (visually)" but watch this at 1080p and tell me if you still think the same:

Here's a 720p video of console gameplay. Since it's not beta footage you can get  a look of how it will look on a console.

8 minutes of gameplay

I worship the memory of DE and light a candle every year on the anniversary of its release...

...well, I do in my head, anyway.

If the reviews aren't horrible or make it sound like DE2, I'll certainly get HR. Even if Archraven's claim about the graphics were right, I wouldn't care. DE had pretty workmanlike graphics, but it's still one of the best games I've ever played.

New trailer is up. Got to say, these guys sure know how to do viral marketing.

Disturbing. Made even more so by the fact that all this could (and in all likely hood will) happen. This last months wait is going to be the worst.

'In god we trust' at the end, lol.

They are painting a very clearcut bad guy in the promo vids which only makes me think the game will present the opposite scenario.

Unsure.

Never played the first game but heard good things of it.

Seen a few vids and honestly the graphics dont seem too impressive, i will probably wait for reviews and hope theres some improved PC graphics or hi-res texturesor something.

But skip the second game. Your wallet will thank you.

The first one was quite a game though. Should still hold up today. Invisible War I keep trying to replay every few years just to see if it was as bad as I remember...only to find it feels worse.

The first game could use a remake with a modern graphics engine. (Wouldn't that be nice?)

If it's like Alpha Protocol, but with better gameplay, I'm sold.

If you haven't played the first game, do it. It will cost you about $4 or something on Steam, and truly is (well agreed upon) one of the greatest games ever created.

I'm waiting... Supposedly you'll be able to have a kick ass stealth/social build, which is how I play my Elder Scrolls games... But I'm worried they'll make that play style empty of tension, which would then make the game dull.

I'm going to wait for reviews and a price drop, but I'm now going to pay closer attention to this title.

Bought it for only $28.80 cents a couple of weeks ago myself.

Yeah.  It represented a much more glorious era of PC gaming before the digital civil rights revolution against corporate tyranny I suppose.  People who say PC gaming today is better than ever aren't old enough to remember PC gaming from the 90's and early 2000's, back when we had lots of original games console gamers could only dream of.

A small price to pay for the PC proletariat.

Console gamers today aren't old enough to remember gaming from the 90's and early 2000's. I can pull stuff out of my ass also.

This has nothing to do with PC gaming in general just a specific game. Why do you try and spread this spewage?

I'm just waxing nostalgia over the masterpiece which is Deus Ex and lamenting an era which is forever gone.  It's before your time, don't worry about it.
